I just bought a pair of APCs and was wondering do I need to do an initial soak?

"Ride 'Em Cowgirl!"...as if the logo wasn't enough.  Can the patch be safely removed by someone who has no knowledge of sewing?

You don't want to ride the nekkid cowgirl?

Personally, I wouldn't.

It's starchy as hell right now, and that'll help w/ the fades.

Plus, the only thing a soak would do is get rid of some of the starch and shrink the length a tiny bit. Length shouldn't be a big deal. It doesn't need to be precise, since you should be stacking it some.

Looking into a pair made of Cone Mills White Oak denim, either from Raleigh (12.5oz), Tellason (12.5oz) or Left Field NYC (14oz).

1. How much does Cone Denim stretch? I'm aware that they're nothing like APC denim where they can stretch a few sizes

2. I know it's not a hard-and-fast rule, and it depends on one's lifestyle and how often they wear their denim, but how hard is it for Cone Mills denim to fade?

Thanks in advance!

Cone denim tends to be more tightly woven, so it stretches less-than-average compared to other raw denim. You'll still probably be able to get an inch of stretch out of it, but it will probably be more difficult and take longer than with N&F, for example.

APCs are sanforized (pre-shrunk), so soaking is optional. The main benefit to soaking would be better garment longevity. The main benefit to not soaking would be higher contrast fades. It's up to you.

no. you'll get better fading without the soaking and, actually, refrain from soaking as long as you can. i've owned my rescue's for about four years and they've been rinsed/lightly soaked three times.

Could somebody kindly suggest a nice pair of dressy jeans for me:

APC Rescues fit perfectly and are excellent for casual wear. WAY too thick and steel like in the way they wear to wear with a blazer though.
Nudie Slim Jims (2% spandex) are great for casual wear, but too tight for on me with my larger legs to dress them up.
So what I'm looking for is something in the middle in terms of fit, which is dressy and stylish. Any suggestions? happy.gif

Just got my paycheck smile.gif, want to buy a pair of Dior Homme jeans, but I don't know what size to get. I wear 26 Nudies and I live in Vancouver so there aren't a lot of stores where I can try on DH jeans. Only place I found was Holt Renfrew, but they only had like size 30 when I went...

So, what size should I wear for a pair of Dior Homme raw jeans (19cm)?

where can i learn about "stacking" jeans? i feel like this should be something really easy, but for some reason, i just can't do it right. i see all these pictures online of nice knee honeycombs and ankle stacks, but i just can't do it.

FYI, maybe i just need to keep wearing my jeans, even though it has been around 2 months already.

are you specifically looking raw or dry denim?

if you think APC's are thick, don't ever try on a pair of PBJ's.

have you looked at diesel or lucky brand? they have some nice stuff, but you have look hard for it.

effang, what brand/cut are you trying to achieve your 'stacking'?

Could someone please help me find a good reputable website that sells Dior Homme 19cm? Preferably with a better price but any good site will do. I tried google-ing and got nothing I was looking for. Thank you! I've been on a RAW Denim shopping spree lately.

Check out Tellason's Ankara fit. Great denim, the best quality throughout. Good cut, and i think it fits the type of jean you're looking for pretty well! Good luck man!

A LITTLE HELP NEEDED with RRL 03B-SF

I found a pair of RRL jeans online with a reasonable price. The style is 03B-SF but when i google it, only women jeans came out as results. The seller says they are men jeans, but I want to be sure. Anyone has experience with this style of RRL? How is the fit? Are they true to size? I use 33-34" jeans in low rise cuts.

Thks!!!

i have trouble stacking with any jeans that are "thick". naked and famous 12 oz slim guy, naked and famous 14 oz weird guy.

Not sure if it is because there is too much material, so it weights the jeans strangely, or the material is so thick that it stacks weirdly until broken in, or because of my body shape...but just can't imagine it being so difficult or something to think about...

My nf x bj pair of jeans came today.  They're size 34, and I could probably go down to a 33 except for the fact that they're a few inches short from being pulled up all the way due to my thighs, and my movement is so constricted I can only lift my foot about a foot off the ground.  I guess I done did one skwat too many.  Seriously though, my legs are pretty average for someone who lifts (24"), so I don't know how you guys think that men with bigger thighs can fit into skinny jeans if more relaxed fits are problematic.  And yea, I need to drop about 10 pounds, which I am in the process of doing, but that isn't going to make that much of a difference.

Do you think I should try a size 36 or should I instead try a different brand like maybe APC rescue?  How different is the rescue cut from the weird guy cut?  I have APC NS being shipped to me, but I doubt they will fit either.
