I have a jean...(The Ultimate Jean Thread For Beginners) - ask questions here. - Page 995

Does anyone have any experience with Rick Owens' drkshdw denim, quality-wise? I ordered a pair not long ago, am not sure if I will regret the decision.

I've heard some construction issues, but it's rather minor stuff (the scar stitching coming loose, etc.)

I lurked the forums some more and found out that washing makes jeans last longer? Should I just wash my Nudie before they fall apart? I just noticed some loose thread on the back pocket stitching. I decided I don't give a crap about fading and stuff. I was also wondering which jeans (modern fits) lasts a relatively long time. Any price~

I tried on some apc new standards, and 30's seemed to fit me well. I'm wondering if anyone could venture a guess as to what size i would wear in 3sixteens sl-100's iirc.

also if anyone could point me to a link as to how to provide measurements for jeans, to possibly recommend another brand based off my measurements. I saw it somewhere in this thread, but can't find where i saved it.

I'm looking for something American made if possible, but would go with japanese raw denim to try it.

If your jeans are already falling apart, washing by itself probably wouldn't help. I would get them repaired before you wash them.

From my experience, Iron Hearts are a good choice for jeans that last a long time. They have some modern slim and tapered cuts as well, such as the 301S and 666.

If you are a 30 in APC NS, you are probably a 31 in the 3sixteen SL-100.

Here is the measuring guide that I use for jeans: http://blueingreensoho.com/site/inde...&id=30&Itemid=

Any idea where I can get a similar pair of jeans to these? I really like them and want a change from blue and black! Sorry for the size of the pic, not sure how to resize it.
Thanks

Are Iron Hearts true to size? Is 28 the smallest waist size they have? Is it possible to get them in Canada, or do I have to order it online. I really want to try them on.

What would you guys recommend if I am looking for a pair of raw, selvedge, slimfit jeans for under $100? My Uniqlo's arent raw, my Levi's aren't selvedge... any other options?

$100 is not going to get you much. I believe Gap has selvedge denim, but not sure if they're raw or not.

Uniqlo has raw selvage denim for under $100. I personally like those better than the Gap, UO BDG or Unbranded, or Levi's offerings (all of whom have raw, selvage denim for < $100).

Iron Hearts do tend to run TTS, though at times I've gotten better fits with them sizing down 1. AFAIK, 28 is the smallest waist size they have.

There is one retailer that carries IH in Canada:

The Serpentine
18 Hazelton Avenue
Toronto

Gap selvage is indeed raw. It also comes in different washes from time to time, but everything selvage that I've seen in the B&M stores lately has been raw.

Recommend me a pair of jeans (I know, never happened before):

I am looking for a pair of grey jeans in a straight leg cut. I am 6' 4" and ~200 lbs, typically wear a 33-34 x 34. I would prefer it to be ~$200 or less, but I can go more if something is that great. Other criteria:
-No slim-fit jeans
-Zipper fly
-No excessive distressing
-Easy on the pocket art

I am thinking a darker grey to wear with my Polo C&J Darltons, but not charcoal. I know everyone loves to hate on 7FAM, but the color is kind of what I had in mind (for reference).

Ah... righto, guess I'll have to buy some other J-denim jeans.

I tried on a pair of APC New Standards, it was pretty much the same except it was a super teensy bit baggier knee down.
