Those look really baggy for that cut, even if they were raw. Yeah, selling them is going to be the best thing. If you want to stick with that cut, I would definitely size down at least 1 or 2 sizes the next time around if these weren't too tight in the waist for you. If they were, then you need a slimmer cut.

Most one-wash jeans will stretch back out an inch or so in the waist. Most won't shrink significantly in the inseam upon further washing, generally a fraction of an inch at most if any at all.

I bought a pair of black APC NS yesterday. A sz 30 fits me perfectly. I sized down to a 29 as a 28 came nowhere close to fitting.

I'm going to have the inseam hemmed since it's too long now. Should I wash the jeans first to account for any inseam shrinkage that may occur?

I also want to minimize the bleeding. I'm thinking that black jeans may bleed more intensely than indigo on car seats, shoes, etc.

Thanks!

APCs are sanforized, so washing them shouldn't cause any significant shrinkage. It still might cause a little, so I would hem your jeans about an inch longer than you would otherwise just to account for that possible shrinkage. Also, make sure you hang dry when you do eventually wash them, the tumble dryer may cause additional shrinkage even on sanforized denim. From my experience, black jeans tend to bleed less than indigo jeans.

Commondore, Thanks for your help through out my jean journey. I will not be wearing these jeans 24/7/365 so should I even bother to wash them? Realistically I can wear them 3 times in a week max. If I can get a year out of these jeans, I think its money well spent. The dude at Barneys told me to not wash it more than once a year. If I were t wash it, I'd flip the jeans inside out with Woo Lite Dark and hang dry. I'm not fond of the idea of hemming 1 inch longer because I would prefer the ideal fit now to be honest. As always, thanks!

So I bought a pair of Jean Shop Rockers.
I have been wearing them now for 2 days.
They are snug but comfortable.
How long until they start to soften up. Also today I am wearing dress trousers for work and my thighs feel kinda chaffed although I just looked at them and they are not red or anything. Is this normal? Is it b/c of the stiffness of the denim?

If you're only going to wear them 3 times a week, you'll probably be OK to not wash them for that full year as long as you don't tend to sweat a lot or get bad BO. But accidents like spills can happen, so it's nice to have the option of being able to wash.

Even if you don't hem them an extra inch long, you should be OK with washing as long as you wash cold and hang dry.

Thanks for the help, bro. I'm going to compromise and ask for a 32.5'' hem.

I guess the squats really pay off). Is there anything that would work for him? (He can't even squeeze into a pair of 36x36 501s, so it's not looking too good...)

Sounds familiar. Here's a couple of suggestions to get you started (37"+ inseam, 14"+ thigh):

Momotaro 0201
Warehouse 660

I assume he would want at least a ~37" inseam after shrinkage. There are plenty of other options if he can get away with 36" or less (Imperial, Dry Bones, Iron Heart, Samurai for example).

Hey everyone! I am new here.

I am an amateur body builder and have always had trouble finding jeans that fit well. My quads and butt are pretty muscular, so i have to buy jeans that are a size or two greater than my original waist size( i am waist size 32, but have to get 33 or 34), otherwise it's an extremely tight fit around my thighs.

Are there any type of jeans that cater to my type? I am looking for the slim jeans look, as opposed to having to buy relaxed fit jeans.

thanks!

On another thread I saw RKD go into the beach water with his jeans on. I assume this is for max fading. What is the timeline to do this to the jeans or you can just do it whenever?

I guess for $200, Nudies are okay. Much better than Diesel or Rocks for sure, but that's not saying much . I think I'll retract my previous comment, I don't really know much about denim to judge quality. Guess reading posts from SF influenced me to think Nudies are low quality, although my friends have told me that their jeans have dropped in quality than before. Like some other guy mentioned before, I was drawn to Nudie jeans because of the back pocket stitching (yes I'm an attention whore). I've been lurking various threads and it seems like Nudies or APCs are the only jeans I can afford with my budget (I like buying like 5 different washes of same brand). I really want to try the 21cm Diors, but $500 jeans x5 is like 5 months pay hahaha. Hopefully my Nudie will last at least a year.

PBJ does womens models, and I'm pretty sure BiG can special order. http://www.purebluejapan.jp/bottoms-for-women Really like these http://www.purebluejapan.jp/archives/1636
