A bit of stitching on the back pockets I can live with. As long as they don´t glow in the dark.
Of course mithril jeans glow blue when close to orcs, so I don´t want those japanese ones I mentioned earlier after all.

Also; I´m a photographer, and have two small kids, so I´m crawling on my knees all the time. And Norway is cold. So super thick denim would be nice.

I really, really like my 19 oz. 710s. Those might be a good option for you.

Get Ironhearts. Especially the overdyed black ones if you can find them, blue knees on black denim awesomeness

Just ordered my Nudies. Just wondering, how long do they usually last for? I lead a pretty chill lifestyle, I don't do anything extreme and hardly ever exercise .
It's 98% cotton and 2% lycra.

Good call. Post evo pictures, too.

Depends. Nudie pushes the "don't wash for six months" idea, but jeans need to be kept relatively clean if you want them to last. If you're coating them in sweat, dirt, or whatever for long periods of time without washing them, the denim will become weak and brittle, and therefore more prone to tears.

If you wash them when they're dirty (hint: your jeans shouldn't smell bad or have sweat or other stains on them), you should be fine. They're not bullet-proof like Ironhearts, but they won't fall apart if you look at them funny.

Also, at hpnas, I'd say go to the Self Edge web site, look up the models you listed and they carry:

Flathead F380 / F310
Real Japan Blues 106BSP
Iron Heart 301
Imperial Dukes
3sixteen SL-100x

Think about which ones have details that appeal to you; you might love the arcs on the Imperial Dukes, for example, or you might hate them. You might like hidden rivets, or you might not care. It's really up to you.

When you get to SESF, have a list of the jeans you want to try on, and maybe take suggestions from whoever helps you regarding brands and models that meet your criteria. FYI, Self Edge also carries the 3Sixteen+ line, which is supposed to be an upgraded version of the existing 3Sixteen models.

@ III Icon, my only point was that it depends on what the guy's into. There's noting wrong with APCs, but there's nothing great about them, either. I wouldn't recommend them, but that's because they don't have a lot of the things that appeal to me as an enthusiast.

Thanks for all the advice. I picked out the jeans based on some of the stuff I've seen on here over time. I've spoke to Kiya already and he confirmed they will have plenty of the Dry Bones SExDBx09 which I'm really keen to try on. I will definitely go in armed with the list that I like and see what fits best

So if I keep them clean, it'll last longer? I don't sweat whatsoever so I think I'm safe there.
Thanks for the answer .

When you wash jeans, it tightens the weave a little, and keeps the thread stronger, or at least so I'm told. Dirty = weaker

So after the 6 months, how often do you think I should wash my jeans? I'll most likely be wearing them 2-3 times a week.

The ones that I've seen are raw, but I would imagine that that particular style probably comes in a variety of washes and denims as well. Any indigo-dyed denim version of that jacket will fade with wear.

Are you sure that Kiya wasn't referring to the Dry Bones SExDBxSxS12? Because the SExDBxS09 is long sold out.

With that light of a wear schedule, you'd be fine washing them once every 3-6 months as long as they don't get dirty or stinky.

is it so hard to taper jeans without disrupting the selvedge line? my tailor said he couldn't do it except for a couple of cm.

In order to taper without disrupting the selvage line, you have to do it on the inseam, not the outseam as is normally done with tapering. From what I've been told, doing that requires equipment that not every tailor has. Try Denim Doctors, they taper on the inseam so that the selvage line remains intact, and they accept mail-ins if you are not local to them.

I recently went to a party and sat in front of a bonfire for a good two hours. The following morning (after my hangover) my APC New Standards smelled of smoke, like majorly. I've sprayed them with stuff, I've shoved them in the freezer.. nothing is getting this smell out. I've only worn them for 4 months and I really don't want to wash them so soon, so what other alternatives do I have?
