What brands have small back pockets? The only one I know of so far is APC, but I would like alternatives.

It sucks having no butt.

What price range are you looking in?

Anything from 50 to 130 euros is what I can pay.

To be perfectly honest, I don't really care about having raw denim (don't like fading, aesthetically; prefer dark indigo) or selvedge construction.

Any suggestions for under $100? Levis 511 is too slim. Levis 514 is too baggy.

Sorry for such a noob question.

Thanks!

Imperial Kings and Nudie Regular (R)Alfs are both fairly slim if you size them appropriately.

Would it be feasible to have the pockets raised on a pair of APC Rescues? I love the fit, except for the "back pockets are lower for a baggier look" part. If so, is that something a good local tailor could handle, or should that be reserved for denim doctors, etc.? Would it need to be before the first soak?

Could anyone tell me how much Nudie Slim Jims (98% cotton, 2% lycra) will stretch? I don't mine the waist stretching, but I'm worried the thighs will stretch (I have very skinny thighs, so I don't like them baggy). I usually wear 28 size with other jeans, I tried on a pair of Slim Jims 28x34 in Dry Broken Twill today and it was pretty loose around the thighs and like half an inch too big for my waist. Should I size down to 27 or 26? Also, is there a noticeable difference in the thigh and leg width from 1 size change?

Haha I imagine that would look ridiculous in a size 28.

if there's lycra in the material it will stretch slightly while you wear them, but then go back to near the original size when they're off you.

can you go back to where you tried on the 28's, and try on the smaller sizes in real life? that would be the best move.

I'm not familiar with the dry broken twill, I had the SJ Dry japans at one point and they stretched very little.

I have a pair of RRL low straights (these - http://i885.photobucket.com/albums/a...za0/jpg075.jpg) and so far I love them, but does anyone know if these are raw, or will fade in as such? I've been wearing them about 45 days now, and don't plan to wash them for a while. I've noticed a few tiny spots that some of the dye has worn away, and I think I might be seeing a wallet outline, but I'm not sure. Just curious, love the jeans either way.

I'm a total jean n00b. Just now moving past Diesel's.

My current pair are Calvin Klein I got them for $90 on sale (the RRP is $179 I believe) and they are a very nice slim fit but i am not sure on the quality as they now have a hole in the knee and are a bit saggy in the bum.

Have a look at Saba, pretty much the only Aussie brand I bother looking at any more. They had some really nice, sligtly streaky Japanese denim a couple of years ago, pretty slim (I only had to taper the legs slightly for a great fit). These are getting better and better the more I wear them. I've got another more recent light grey pair, even slimmer, but not quite as nice denim. Not sure what their current range is like, but worth a look.

Don't buy at retail though, they drop a fair bit in the sales. My last pair was down to $50 from $169. Check out eBay as well, my first pair was unwanted gift brand new on eBay for $15!

Unbranded denim online from Inseam Australia for $80 (I think) is another option. But I'm seriously struggling to think of many more! Find somewhere having a sale on Levi's maybe? But even then the range / pricing is bad, and my Saba jeans are way better than any Levi's I've had.

Unfortunately the place I went to don't carry sizes below 28 , but they can do special orders. The helper at the store told me that I should size down to 27, but was unsure of 26 because she wasn't sure how big of a difference it would be for the width. I think I'll just go with the 27. I just hope the stretch is very slight around the thighs .
