I have a jean...(The Ultimate Jean Thread For Beginners) - ask questions here. - Page 962

So I just bought my first pair of nice jeans, nudie slacker jacks, and I'm trying to figure out if the waist sizing is alright. The waist fits snug, feels about perfect, right out of the bag. I have a few pairs of Levi 514s in the same size (33x32) and they fit snug at first too then seemed to have all stretched some after wearing and I washed/dryed them to try to shrink them back but they are still just a little loose -- ~.5". Am I going to experience the same thing down the road with these jeans or should I try sizing down? I'm hesitant to size down because they already look like they're too small for me (pic below for reference, sorry that it's super awkward), so I don't know what to do. Thanks! http://img192.imageshack.us/img192/4072/imag0037zi.jpg Link to picture because of imageshack...

How's the fit on these RRL's? Cuffing this too much?

I think it looks a little weird on your right leg for some reason.

Good stacking takes some wear. The cuff is too large. Those would probably look better without cuffs.

They'd be really damn long without cuffs, should I just stack them then, or get them hemmed?

Hemmed is the way to go with that cut.

Alright. So for under $100 it's either Unbranded or GAP. Since it's getting hotter GAP would be a better choice? Then I can just wear those until I get around $200? Then what good beginner jeans can I get for around $200.

Yeah I'd go for the 32, if it's just a bit tight now, it'll be fine pretty soon. Good luck! And post a fit pic if you decide to get them.

The soaked pair will probably fade with less contrast than a non-soaked pair, but whether that is considered worse or not is a matter of personal preference.

Yeah, you'll probably be more comfortable in lighter denim in hotter weather. In the $200 range, APC, Left Field, and 3sixteen are good brands to start with.

Hi,

I am looking to pick up a pair of Stonewash selvage jeans. I was wondering if anybody has seen any good ones around. I only know of SPURR, LEE 101 and Edwin SEN/505 (would be my first choice). None of which I can find anywhere. I think APC did something like that this year, but it is only available in NC and I would need at least NS. I have also looked into ebay for RRLs, but most of them are either Slim Bootcut or straight leg. No luck with Slim Straight which is the fit I am looking for.

Thanks,

Help me out the doghouse....

What's the best way to get a post-soak indigo ring off the side of my girlfriend's tub?

Clorox + scrubbing didn't work.
