Context's measurements has Academi size 30's with a waist of 32, and with the way my NS stretched (went from about a 31 to almost 34 now which is almost looser than I would like) I'm afraid of getting something that's going to stretch too much. If these really aren't vanity sized than you're right, but from those measurements they definitely seem to be.

I definitely didn't see my pair as being +2". If anything, they sat fine or a little snug the first time. Within just an hour, though, they settled and stretched out about a half inch/inch I'd say. Just measured mine now. Tagged 32", Measured 16.5"x2=33". I guess my powers of stretch estimation are correct.

Hm, alright, thanks. That's actually quite helpful. I'll probably take the 5 min trip to context and just try em on there...They didn't seem like they were in stock on their site, but I just called and they are. Edit: Do you have a picture of yours after some wear by chance?

You're right. I do apologize I just took it the wrong way. He could have easily said why dont you take some measurements so that we can help you out instead "of why dont you put some work into it if you want people to help you". Either way no harm no foul. I'll take some measurements and maybe someone can help me.

Follow up - Just grabbed a pair. I tried on a pair of 30's in indigo first and they were a bit loose in the waist. Then Dirk (the guy at context) grabbed me a pair of the gray ones (which was what I had wanted originally) and they fit like a charm. They are an incredible denim and look awesome. They fit exactly how I wanted them to (not overly relaxed like on UO's website) and you can't beat the price. 80 bucks a pop? That's incredible. I would strongly suggest calling Context and have one of them measure out the individual pair to make sure they are the size you want and then grabbing them asap.

When do you find that light-colored / washed blue jeans are more appropriate to wear than darker/raw blue jeans? Hot weather? Daytime? With sneaks? Do you ever wear them?

i think many here prefer raw denim, though i think lighter denim for summer seems fitting, don't want to be soaking in all that heat

similar question to the one i posted earlier but what about stores in taiwan that sell nice japanese denim, if there are any. if there are any, they'll probably in taipei definitely.

i know they're loaded with edwin's but i'm looking for something along the lines pbj's, IH, samurai's, TFH maybe?

Nope, and you'll be hard pressed to find anyone else with wear considering how relatively new they are on the market.

For 80 bones you really can't expect better. People will ***** about the Dior-like pants clasp but it's personal preference. My only complaints would be that it doesn't feel as solid as a button but it's no big deal. I also wish they were more gray than I had envisioned. In the sunlight you can see a dark-blue overcast. Like I mentioned in WAWYN, I'm rotating these strictly with my SSDSvenka pair. They're both flame/slubby selvage and they're both bleeders. Should have some good results within no time.

Minimal shrinking that can be fixed via stretching out legs while wet.

I have a jean that I want to stretch at the legs. I just think I'll just step on the hem and pull at the knee when their a little damp. Is there a better, less physical (I don't want to break out a sweat or anything) way?

Less physical? We're not talking about pulling on the legs for half an hour. I normally just give them a few strong tugs and I'm done.
