@ranker__ Kit is right, APCs are vanity sized + stretch a lot. SU1 means sizing 1 up from your normal waist size. if you're 30 on most jap jeans [w/similar rise], then W31or 32 on BSP. the W33 i tried shrunk all the way down to 31.5 after a double warm soak... that's not even an actual full wash

Yeah, I think I'm learning this the hard way (aka expensive way) =/. man.... this is my first jump into true jap denim too =**(

Oh FML. Since you have BSP's what's the likelihood of it stretching? On Self Edge's site it says:
Quote:
These jeans are made of unsanforized denim, when washed the denim will shrink 1" in the waist and 3" in the length (inseam). Please keep this in mind when choosing your size. The denim will also stretch in the waist up to 1" after approximately 30 wears.
For a size 30, the site says its 31" but the SE employee told me it actually measures out to 31.5" I guess the question is, should I never let these touch water and try to just wear as is without soaking/washing ever. Or will it shrink to 30.5" and then stretch back out to 31.5" (or more) after i wear it 30 or so times?

btw, these is the current fit of the 007s__ TTS @W33. as i mentioned, a possible size down is warranted if aiming for a slimmer fit. but, personally, i prefer a more "comfort" fit.

Seeing your fit pics in other threads, I was hoping you'd chime in, IIIrd. Your 007s are O/W, right?

Obviously with O/W TTS is the way to go. Are you suggesting the raws will shrink enough to go TTS as well? Based on the BiG measurements, it looks like sizing down one (factoring shrinkage) in the 007 RAW would give the equivalent fit to a TTS O/W.

^i bought mine W33 RAW @Take 5. initially, i felt i shoulda sized down 'cuz they seemed a bit loose, but after multiple soaks they've contracted quite nicely. the fabric is loosely weaved, so they will stretch out a bit further, if necessary. if you don't have huge thighs or built on the slim side, you're a candidate for a size down__ if slimmer fit is your preference.

the RAWs will eventually end up about the same measurements as the O/W, imo.

not wash ever? is it gonna be your "disposable" jeans? you're bound to wash sometime. the weave on these is tight__ can't fcuk around it like the Samurais. the cut & the denim will def bust one's balls... that or you're gonna pop some buttons &/or seams.

heed the signs, man. btw, my BSPs are now my lil' bros'.

Are Uniqlo T-000 jeans the same ones shown on the Uniqlo site? The ones listed as "Skinny fit Jeans"? Or are they a separate line of jeans. For some reason, I find it nearly impossible to find stores selling T-000 when I search it on google, other than actual individuals selling their own pairs.

That was the most condescending thing I have read since I unsubscribed from http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=204289 If you're worried, just go out and get some woolite black

? Jeans are not some fragile artistic piece, fucking throw them in the wash and let them be. And why baby something that can be replaced for the cost of 2 nights on the town? The cost of any special detergent would far outweigh the cost of the jeans themselves.

alright fair enough
To water down the assness of my previous post, Woolite dark would be the best supermarket detergent for keeping color bleed to a minimum and being gentle on the fabric, Dr. Bonners gets good reviews and Sugarcane makes a "special" jeans soap if I recall correctly. If you're really that anal, I suggest buying some nicer jeans that would really appreciate and benefit from it. Cheap Mondays are made to be beaten to a pulp (like Levis, Uniqlos, etc.)
Just wash your Cheap Mondays with some pure soap, detergent with no optical brighteners or bleach, or mild shampoo (common method for denim nerds in East Asia). I have a box of these for special denims:

Dr. Bonners. There's also a great newbie denim care thread that lists this all.

Question about April 77:

I got a pair of April 77 Joey Overdrive Sabbaths (black) from a guy on sufu who said they were a 28. They're actually a 27, and are a little too tight. He said he had only worn them twice before. Should I expect them to stretch out? How much? I'm normally a 30 waist, definitely not a 29.
