Does H&M have jeans for bigger legs? What about stores like urban outfitters and zara?

The 514 cut is quite relaxed. It's much closer to the 501 than the 510 or 511. It's much too baggy for my taste, but if you're legs are really as large as you think (this is a common misconception/delusion among newcomers, generally owing to the fear of the 'slim' fit among the unfashionable) then the 514 might work for you.

To the guy at 6'2'', 170lbs, that's probably close to your ideal weight from a medical standpoint, but few people here would consider you skinny.

I'm not looking for raw denim, japanese, diesel, etc. I'm not even looking for sevens/true religion/rocknrepublic/etc. since they are really expensive where I live in Canada.

I need some recommendations on stores/brands for normal cheap decent jeans. Something slightly more fashionable than gap.

The collective opinion on this site (from some searches I did) seems to be that levi's are a good bargain, but I haven't seen any in stores where I live. But I will look.

stores where I've looked:
gap: didn't like any
guess: seemed overpriced for quality
lucky brand: too expensive

what else is there?

cheap monday?

I'm thinking of buying my first pair a pair of black coated jeans. Looking for a slim fitting model and since I'm quite tall I'll need at least a 36' inseam in order to be able to get some stacking. Of course I know of the Diors but since I'm not sure how much use I'll get out of these I'd like to find something a bit cheaper. Have seen that Nudie has a model that suits my needs but wondering if you have any other recommendations for me or if I should just get them?

I had them for a while. Amazing jeans and denim, just became too slim for my taste, but I downsized one. I can't compare them to Nudie - never owned any. They are one of the slimmest fits Samurai makes, but have a nicely cut top-block which doesn't make them feel tight around the hips or seat. The thighs are slim and they have a taper. Pockets are loose even if you downsize. Nice medium-low rise. Denim is very textured and slubby, like almost all Sam denim. Gorgeous stuff. They'll shrink to an inch above tagged waist size with a hot soak, but I recommend getting TTS, since you'll want to wear these lower on the hips. Plus, Sam denim does shrink more with a few washes.

Who out there is making heavy weight denim? So far I've stumbled upon companies like Iron Heart, but I really don't know who else is making similar products. Not specifically looking for japanese companies, just people with comparable quality to something like IH.

Heavy weight denim with quality 'comparable' to IH? It's either the special edition Studio D'Artisan's or the heavier Samurai's. How heavy do you want them? 19 oz, or 24 oz?

Just wanted something nice for the colder fall months coming up. Never owned a heavy weight denim so I figured 19oz is a good start. I was wondering if there are any american brands doing them or if the japanese have cornered that market for now.

looking for a good quality pair jeans with a 6.5-7" hem and at least a 10" rise. essentially dior 19cm or apc petit standard with a bit higher of a rise. not sure what the rise is on n&f weird guys but they dont work for me, odd crotch and baggy thighs. anything out there?

They're a slimmer fit that Levis 514 but not what I'd call skinny either. H&M does have original cut raw denim that was only $10 at my local store! So I'd look into that as well. You might get a nice fit from that if your legs are a bit bigger.

I'm not sure of US brands, but Naked & Famous has some heavier weight models - although the quality is not comparable to the Japanese makes.

For 19 oz denim, Samurai offers some good models. Also, Oni and Eternal have very nice 18oz jeans (very slubby denim). I'm sure there're plenty more, but my head is blank right now...

Thx for the info bro,
how much does it shrink in the inseam after the hot soak? because im planning to hem it before the first soak...is this no good?
if possible and if you have, can you put your picture using the jeans...i desperately want to see the real fitting...
thanks brotherrr

If you want to go really heavy then you should consider a pair of the 32 oz version that Naked & Famous will offer. Though they will only release 10 pairs so I'll guess it might be a bit hard to get one.

Personally I would recommend not getting those 32 oz jeans. They are novelty and hype more than anything - 32oz denim is good for bags, etc, NOT garment. If you're after something that will last you a long time, wear & age beautifully, and expertly constructed - go with IH or another Japanese make for heavy denim. It's big bucks at the start, but you won't regret it or feel the need to upgrade later down the track.
