I received this coat at the end of November. It's only been worn for about a month. I'm going to get a charcoal coat to replace this one. It was purchased for $150. BIN for $100.

Here are the measurements from Sterlingwear:
Chest = 34"
Sleeve Length = 18"
Body Length = 32.5"
Waist = 32"
Hip = 38"

A 36R that measures 34" at the chest? This can't be correct, unless you had it altered severely.

http://www.sterlingwear.com/sizechart.html

According to Sterlingwear size 36 does have a 34" chest.

I think Sterlingwear is slightly deceptive in this chart...
I originally got a much larger coat than I needed because I saw this chart and flipped out about my large chest. For reference, I have an actual measured chest of 38 and I fit perfectly into a size 36s (going for the fitted look, however, and not the loose fit you'll see on Sterlingwear's site).

Yes, my guess would be that the chest measures about 4" larger than the marked size. What a weird table on their site. In any case, you can probably sell this without bothering to take measurements yourself... But you may want to note in your listing that you are taking the measurements from Sterlingwear's website, so that a buyer can't complain to you when the coat's actual measurements are quite different.

Thanks for the info guys. Edit made.

This jacket should fit someone that is a sz 38. Great Jacket BTW

So I'm slightly confused comparing the site to the comments made. I'm a true 36R, should I expect this to fit? Tight? Loose?

Thanks!

According to the comments, it seems like this would be too large for you (me too) and more appropriate for a true 38.

From what I've read in the peacoat threads on this site, this jacket would probably fit you somewhat loose -- perfect if you want to layer substantially under it. If you want a slim fit, the general advice is to size down one (so a 34 for you).
