Discount isn't as good as eBay, but it's decent for a "retail" store that accepts returns.

I just did a search to see if any other styles are on deep discount, and I have to say, the Hudson is a good-looking shoe. The best-looking AE I've seen in a while.

I loved them til i saw the rubber bottoms. Doh.

That doesn't bother me. They're already clunky, so I don't think the rubber detracts much. Might make a nice walking/rain shoe.

I agree. I think the one thing Allen-Edmonds does very well are the kinds of brogues for which the 360-degree welt feels natural. The Colton, for example, is a really great shoe (and was super-cheap when it was discontinued). IMO, the 360-degree welt is too conspicuous on shoes that try to be really sleek, though.
