so ive been sporting a jewfro of sorts for the last few years. girls like it, they say i have really nice hair, but i dont think they think of it as sexy. theres not much else i can do with it, if i cut it short its gets all poofy an looks retarded, but im getting kinda tired of the look, it doesnt really go with much. does anyone know anything you can do with curly hair, or any other styles i could go with.

couldnt find one without a hat, sorry.

Your hair looks good imo. Learn to love it. I have curly / frizzy hair which wouldn't be my first choice. I don't mean this statement to be racist, but I'm white and my hair is like most black males. Which results in a frizzy afro that goes straight up. Right now I shave my head.

Could do with a bit of a trim, but otherwise it's all good. If you want more definition rather than frizz, slap a little defining gel in your hair whilst it's wet and let it dry naturally.

Only other option is getting well acquainted with the use of a good hairdryer/straightener combo.

listen to me, you little shit - enjoy your hair while you can. in a few years you will get a job and you will have to get a haircut, and then you will be bald. so, for now, enjoy it. you have great hair.

by the way, when you do need to cut it, cut it short on the sides, and grease it back.

if its getting long enough where the hair more towards your roots is straighter than the ends, get a trim, to remove some of the weight, so it spring back. depending how thick it is, get it thinned.

use a light curling mousse when you get out of the shower - and let air dry to encourage, define, and de-frizz your curls. if you really want that modelesque perfect curl look dry it with a diffuser or scrunch while you blow dry it.

Agree with the sentiment, the hostility "” not so much.

I'm blessed/cursed with the same hair. Rock the jewfro while you can. I did when I was a young man.

When you need to look older or more professional, you'll probably have to keep it short - like clipper short. No comb can tame the jewfro.

Never listen to what girls say. The next time you see some ridiculous looking man with gauged ears, or a popped collar, you can be sure that sometime, somewhere, a girl told him it looked good.

You might look like this if you grow it out.

Right well, I'm a girl so you probably shouldn't listen to me, but, I'm gonna type anyway.

First off, you do have really nice hair -- good condition, healthy and lovely colour. Leave it as it is unless you're just bored with it. In which case, I'd say go with something akin to a DA -- worked for the Teddy Boys and Bowie and numerous others through the years. As you seemed concerned about girls liking your hair but not finding it sexy, the upkeep on duck's ass will make you seem high-maintenance and we all know most girls find effort for vanity sake incredibly sexy in men.

A little visual:

My hair was wavy when it was shorter. As it got longer it turned into this.... It was about 8 inches longer than that when I shaved it off on a whim at lunch while at work one day.

I really like your hair as it is and probably wouldn't change it.

your hair isnt really that curly, ...alot of my multi racial cousins have tight curly longer hair.. i would suggest trimming it slightly ... then your hair would be wavy and longer...or you could maybe get it flatiron and you would do that daily or ever other day or find a really good shampoo and conditioner and a product that works for you and use that..for your hair type it looks better when washed daily .... wash condition towel dry apply product comb shake or wear a pony tail
