Women's shops (since some of you ostensibly have girlfriends/wives/it's complicateds). I am not going to reprint any of the stores above that carry both men and women's clothing and accessories. Just like the men's version of this list generally reflects my tastes (hipster douchebag), this list reflects those of my wife - so, the odds are that any of the women featured in The Sartorialist are wearing brands in these stores: www.havensonline.com - A mixture of high and mid-priced point lines for more sophisticated shoppers - Prairie Underground and Burning Torch through Gary Graham. www.letrainbleu.com - well edited, mid-priced, for the most part www.shopworthwhile.com - some of the better women's designers, counterparts of the Styleforum SW&D man: Gary Graham, Rick Owens, Forme d'expression, etc...) as well as some well chosen, more price accessible, lines. Again, well edited. Good lookbook. www.151boutique.com - Mid-priced lines, but with a similar aesthetic to the above. www.horseshoeseattle.blogspot.com/ - Not really a webstore, but my wife comes here every time we go to Seattle. www.polkadotsandmoonbeams.com - terrific store on 3rd St. in LA. shop.mickmargo.com www.departementfeminin.com - For the golddigger in your life - actually, a very nice store in Toulouse. Spendy though. www.buydefinition.com www.parallelportland.com

I've updated the list, and it now contains just about 300 stores. I've checked as many of them as I can. Retail is a tough business, and stores open and close at an alarming rate. I'm opening up the thread so that you guys can suggest corrections, tell me stores that have been omitted, etc...

I will be posting top level domains, since subdirectories are constantly changing, with the "www" designation, just to keep things consistent. Even if the store does not usually take a www designation, pointers will take you to the correct url.

This is already the most comprehensive, maintained, list, of stores for men's clothing and accessories. Let's make it even better.

Cheers,

Fok.

I didn't see it in the list, but there are always good sales and vouchers to be had on Spartoo, this is where I have been buying all my boots and shoes lately, free delivery in UK and throughout Europe actually, sometimes you can find models from two seasons ago and brands that are hard to find elsewhere, and usually at a lower price. http://www.spartoo.co.uk/Ankle-boots-men-st-10218-10127-0.php

Can we have the brand-only stores like ysl, isaora, etc separated along with the bigger stores like macys, barneys, etc, and finally the boutiques to their own section?

Because as of right now thats one big list that won't be that useful IMO.

If you have the time to take that list and separate it out, that would be great. This type of stuff has always been community driven. I barely have enough time to update the list. Also, nearly all the stores there are boutiques. Not sure how separating them out would make that much of a difference. My intention is/was to make a list of every store you might conceivably buy from, and spend/waste entire weeks browsing.

Cheers,

Fok.

Perhaps because it's about as far from hipster as you can get, you somehow managed to leave off J. Press: www.jpressonline.com. For people who think that Brooks Brothers is too trendy and for survivors of private schools.
