How did they compare with other brands in terms of sizing?

I got them in 10.5. I wear between a 10.5 and 11.5 in most shoes. 11 in chucks. I'd try them on if possible, or get them from someplace like Zappos where exchanges are painless. For me, at that size, the heel is nicely snug and there's plenty of toe room. But my feet are weird.

I haven't been able to find a place that sells them in NYC. So I tried on a pair of the Classic ones figuring the sizing will be the same. I am usually a 10.5-11 but the 9.5s fit the best. If anyone knows of a store that has the GTs in NY please let me know.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I can't tell from the original posting--

Yes, those are their brown dress leather.

Check out white's website - they have a ton of options for the semi-dress now, and many are awesome. I will eventually make a semi-dress in that brown dress leather, 90 degree heel, the works.

I tried both the redwing gt and white's semi-dress and finally got the semi-dress. I found the GT super tight and hard that I immediately gave up the idea of getting one.... on the contrary, once I tried the semi-dress, I didn't even want to take my foot out...it's so comfortable, not to mention its superior craftsmanship over the GT. The semi-dress worth the difference and you wouldn't be regretted.
