Good denim shop in Boston/Cambridge

Anyone have any recommendations for a good denim shop in Boston/Cambridge?

Depends what you are looking for. Stel's has hipster staples APC and Nom de Guerre. Alan Bilzerian has more interesting, but less "works every day" stuff by Kohzo, Margiela, and Drkshdw, as well as some nice, but over priced pieces by Gilded Age and Belstaff Black Prince. Jean Therapy has Kicking Mule Workshop and Rag&Bone. Barneys has the usual (APC, Nudie, Acne and so on) and Saks and Neimans can sell you jeans that will make you look like ass.

I'm still kicking myself i didn't go by Alan Bilzerian when i was in boston last month. I really wanted a pair of drkshdw jeans but the people i was with the day i was on newbury were being difficult and wouldn't let me roam the stores as they made too many plans that day.

louis boston used to have rag&bones. not sure if they still do

I'll second the rec for Stel's. They also have some pretty nice tops and outerwear and they're nice people and have given me excellent service several times. Jean Therapy is decent as well. Bilzerian is usually too out-there for me, but I guess it depends on what you want.
If you're looking for something like 45rpms, Samurais, PBJs, etc., however, you probably won't find it.

Yea, Stel's was cool though. I forget the name of the guy working but he was very nice and helpful. They didn't have much stock since it was late december though. Definitely a must to stop by there

When I was there in Nov., the R&B stock was very small, not much of a selection.

I ended up buying a pair of NdG at Stel's. As people have said, nice store with very helpful people.

Another recommendation for Stel's on Newbury, when I was in Boston a few weeks ago I stopped in and picked up a pair of rogans. They had plenty of APCs and NdG as well.

Very nice selection and very helpful.

+1 on Stels especially for service. I know next to nothing about denim but felt well taken care of (and not advantage of) there. I think the person above may be thinking of Jon but everyone there seemed nice and helpful

Riccardis (I think that's up the street) was also helpful (for my daughter) and they seemed to have a lot of selection but different than Stels.

Just got back from Stel's. The guys there were really helpful and they had an awesome sale going on. Picked up some New Standard's and a pair of high-top Spring Court's. They have a lot of APC in right now so get in there!

Anyone have a good update for this threak?

I've had good results at Barneys and the Tannery (APC, RRL, Raleigh Denim, Kicking Mule Workshop, Rag & Bone), but haven't tried Stel's yet.
