Is this Moncler fake or not?

Hello everyone. Basically, I purchased a Moncler jacket off eBay and after close inspection I came to the conclusion it's fake, long story short, got a full-refund of eBay. Swell!

However, there's one thing that bothers me, I've broke down what indicates it's a fake and what may suggest otherwise-

Fake -

Poor stitching
Can see the seems between each "bubble"
Loose Ends
The tag where it should state the model of the jacket reads "Maglia Polo Manica Corta" which is a T-Shirt

Real-

The tag where it states Moncler and the size which is a number
This tag matches (http://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr114/heehong/fake/100_0546.jpg)
The zippers are Lampo
And finally (this is where it get's weird) - The QR code is a hologram code which when you type into Moncler's website returns the correct jacket.

The Moncler Dinard

This is the original auction (ended now)

I've got all my money back and I'm stuck with it. Just wanted to know.

Thank you.

Out of that seller's 10 negative ratings over the last 12 months, at least 7 have been for selling fake goods, so purely going on that I'd say you were right to undo the purchase. Or maybe it would have been wise to not purchase from him to begin with.

Having said that, the arguments you gave are not in themselves proof. Poor construction would be a little unusual for Moncler, but this is a collaboration, not the mainline. As for the wrong identification on the tag, I have (100 per cent genuine) Dior items with orthographic errors/bad English on the tags.

I'm amazed - if it is a fake - that there are people somewhere who would go to the trouble of faking niche brands/collaborations. I get that there is an economic return in faking things like mainline Moncler or Emporio Armani, but Off-White x Moncler? You'd think it couldn't be worth the hassle of producing a quasi-authentic looking fake considering how few of those you can potentially sell, but maybe it is.

You'd be surpised... https://www.reddit.com/r/FashionReps/

Since I came across that subreddit I basically can't really trust anything coming from eBay or the like.

Moncler and Off White are some of the most counterfeited brands among streetwear stuff so yes even collabs will be done (or even especially collabs between those two). And at least by looking at pics sometimes is really hard to tell the fake from the original.

The people in that reddit are really knowledgeable about those brands (mostly streetwear brands), it's just that they can't afford the genuine items.
