100% did sound stupid.
"Preorders for Wings + Horns black distressed leather Service Boot. Retail Price is $720.00. A $20.00 nonrefundable deposit is required."

Also, this is the wrong place for this question. If you don't know what pre-order is... The store does not have the boot, but you can reserve a boot in your size for $20 which will be deducted from the 720 when they do arrive. That basically saves your spot on the list of people who want that product.

Really?

I don't see $20. I see $720, with an initial deposit of $20 being charged. If you order the boots, you will immediately be charged a non-refundable $20. When the boot arrives and gets shipped by peasant, you will be charged another $700.

If you back out, you lose your $20 deposit.
