Ok, this one's open for interpretation. You choose to either wear something dramatic, or you take a dramatic picture. The rules are: 1. CM compatible (i.e. it has to be something you could post in the WAYWRN threads on the classic menswear side of the forum). 2. It has to be posted before the 4th of March (I'm letting this run for 2 weeks because of hectic schedule ahead). Examples:

Ok, I'll go, and hope more will follow:

Into the light. For those who want to see the outfit in colour, I will post a few "normal" pics in WAYWRN soon.
Been on vaycay.

Note: These pics were taken before I knew the topic of the challenge. I thought they were semi fitting.
Wonder what's in here?

I almost feel obliged to enter seeing as I'm already in! :)

What could be more dramatic than Lincoln's Ad-Lib Club Back-to-the-Roots sessions? Rare/underplayed sounds of the 1950s and 60s adopted by the original soul/mod scene that gave birth to the first UK all-nighters. R&B, Soul, Doowop, Jamaican R&B, Ska all played out in an 1823 stone-walled, windowless cellar-bar underneath Lord Beaumont’s Manor House in the wonderful city of Lincoln. A warren of rooms just made for the Ad-Lib Club’s music policy! Living in Essex I don’t get there as often as I would like, but took these pics on my last visit. Of course, it’s important to dress as one would have done back in the day…
Talked to Erik and confirmed this photo would be allowed. As can be seen, I am wearing a field jacket with turtleneck with just a bit of sport coat visible too. The shot was intended to be kind of movie look. Very interesting theme @EFV
My entry - taking advantage of my new apartment's location . . .
Thought I might sneak this one in...

Excellent news that this challenge will run two weeks, as this week I will be moving house, from West Side to East Side, and the only drama will be fitting all my possessions into corrugated cardboard boxes - not a visual thriller, to be sure.

Really ? Are you kidding? On Style Forum that would be considered pretty riveting stuff, especially the bits where you're moving your wardrobe.

I've done a few of these already, haha. I love using light in my photography but I typically post my signature smiling pictures in our regular WAYWT. It would be cheating to say that I wasn't inspired by Ethan Newton's photography. Here are some of my favorites from my archive.

1960's three piece sack suit (eBay), custom spearpoint shirt, 1980's tie (thrifted)

Suit supply jacket, J. Crew sweater, Brooks Brothers shirt

1970's camel hair jacket (thrifted), custom spearpoint shirt, 1940's tie (eBay)

"$3" pinstripe suit (thrifted), custom spearpoint shirt, 1940's tie (eBay)

1960's sack jacket (eBay) custom shirt, 1940's tie (eBay), 1960's trousers (thrifted)

90's Jos A Bank ivy style suit (eBay), custom spearpoint shirt, 1930's tie (eBay)

I tend to be super dramatic in my outfit shoots.

This is a great outfit, one of the best I've seen in weeks.

This picture is from last year. After a friend's funeral.
Rather dramatic because of the moment, and because Sonia Rykiel, an admirable woman, died a few months later.
Her daughter Nathalie is by her side.

I can tell you without hesitation that you never know how much stuff you own until you try to pack it into a cardboard box (or many multiples of same). The packing insanity continues, and my (currently unemployed) husband is diligently trying to pack everything that needs to be moved by the movers, proving that I married exceptionally well.

I can see it now: “No! No! No! No! Don’t put the wool ties in the same box as the mohair suits!”

Pity we didn’t know about this in advance. Would’ve made a great PBS documentary.

As stated above, you never realize what you own until you try to move it. I discovered the current count of the shoe collection - all inclusive (with one lowly pair of sneakers) the number is 56.

As for "no wool ties in the same box as the mohair suits", I don't know that I own any wool ties :).

As for a PBS documentary, I believe a film of the packing process would be more like a bastard child of the game show "Beat the Clock", and a perverse take on "Real Housewives of New York". :embar:
