Desktop Tower Defense Group Scoreboard (styleforum)

Courtesy of J, apparently, as I went to make the "group" and it was already there with several of his scores. Here's the group, and here's the game. For the uninitiated, think WarCraft III's DoTA mod. You build structures to defeat creeps. It's insanely addicting and it runs on any PC or Mac. Go play it and don't forget to add your high scores to the "styleforum" group.

Speaking of WCIII, we should have a forum-wide DotA game.

I threw that in there hoping it would lure you in. And yeah, that should be an eventual goal.

And he takes the lead....

Yeah, I didn't feel like going out last night so I sat around and played DTD. I'm actually getting kind of bored with it because it takes so damn long to get through a game. Nice job Bwag, I'll have to see what you did... at this point it becomes a race to speed the levels through as quickly as possible for points. Does anyone else think that leftover money should be added to your point total somehow? I ended up with like $500 left in one game and it doesn't give you anything for it.

Don't waste money on the swarm towers. Typhoon towers or whatever they're called are all you need.

I use to try to build long, complex mazes... now I just try to get them into the centre as quickly as possible, freeze them and let my maxed out water canons do their best.

The spawning creeps are the worst - if your walls of pellet canons have even the smallest gap between them, the creeps slip through.

I spent my whole summer on that game. I'm not getting sucked into it again!!!

Oi, I'm terrible. Not amerikajinda terrible, but pretty bad. Hope more people get in on this. The competition fuels the addiction. Edit: Bandwagonesque, I'm going to riff off of your concept. I like the idea of a strong center, that way you don't have to sell stuff and I'm sure it helps with the flying bosses.

One stupid flying boss always seems to get by with like 20k health.

My best score was done by copying Bwag's design... that's the easiest way to learn, just look at the top scores. I do like to try new stuff though just to see how it works. I only wish you could turn up the game speed.

I'm guessing everyone is playing "medium". I think that's the standard competitive mode.
