These guys have a grip of Baracuta plus some other retro tripe. A few things worth a look especially if your looking for a less expensive option.

I've seen Members Only jackets new at Burlington Coat Factory. Tons of them in thrift and vintage stores. The leather they used was cheesy but I'd like a higher quality repro in the same cut.

ya the leather seems really stiff... no gusta.

It's actually pretty thin and floppy but it has a coating on it to the point of being barely leather anymore, and a lot of the vintage ones have dried out so they are stiff and/or cracking. No thanks.

im thinking of buying a harrington jacket from ebay, but all i can seem to find are mediums and im usually a small... the measurments say its about 21" pit to pit and im normally 18" also prob slim the sleeves a bit? (is it possible to shorten with the stretch waistband? lol)...how hard would it be to tailor a harrington, the lining makes it difficult, no? is it good idea even? estimated price? thanks!!

I slimmed down a harrington jacket and it was really easy. You can separate one seam in the lining and pull the whole thing inside out. I don't know about shortening it, but I slimmed the sleeves and body about 3" max or so and it came out great.

what was the price for slimming the sleeve and body? is it really slim fitting now? im glad to hear its plausible.

I did it myself. I didn't make it super slim fitting because I didn't want it that way, but I probably could have with little trouble. I can't imagine it should cost more than 20-30 bucks but I really don't know. This is how it turned out:

Slim enough but not tight. Much less poofy than before.

wow good job...wish i could tailor stuff myself, save tons.

I'm thinking of buying a G9 slimfit but I would only be able to buy it online. I'm 6.05 ft tall, skinny with pretty long arms, do you think I should go for M or L?

Also noticed this new G9, "Vintage check". What do you think about it?

the check one is cool, but the lime green in it makes it hard to wear as a general use jacket...but with the right outfit it'd look killer

yer kinda in a tough spot....fit wise the med would be better thru the body probably, but the arms on Baracutas (or any other harrington) arent particularly long

My shoulders are about 17" wide and I wear a 33 shirt, for reference. If I want to wear a sweater underneath, the 38 works better for that.

This is me in a size 36 Baracuta, from my most recent WAYWT

Size 38 slimfit

here's a size 38 classic fit Baracuta

**btw, I have a 38" chest too

Could you repost the pics plz?
