Tailor and cobbler in Pasadena CA (maybe LA?)

Hi,

I will be moving to Pasadena after a week, which means I need to find a new tailor and cobbler for my clothing and shoes (topy, adjusting clothes). I wonder if anyone have any idea of decent cobbler and tailor in Pasadena, or LA (I'm a student, and going to LA will be quite far without a car)? Also, reasonable price as well.

No advice on the cobbler, but for a tailor, check out Bill Cairo Custom Tailoring in San Marino. They're the only one I'd trust for any complex tailoring work. They're a full custom service so they also make bespoke items. They are not cheap, but do top notch work.

How much is their price on tailoring a blazer like taking in the waist section and shortening the sleeves? Thank you

I haven't done the exact same work alone, but that would probably run about $100. But best to call them and get a price quote. (626) 284-6467

That's really pricy for me. I will double check with them. Do you think a normal tailor would do a fine job with shortening sleeves and taking in the waist? Thanks

That's relatively simple work and most tailors can handle that. There are a few in the area who can probably do the work just fine for a lower cost.

How much does it normally cost for those tailoring in Pasadena? Really not farmillar with the pricing

There's quite a bit of variation. Typical sleeve adjustments seem to be approximately $35. Haven't done waist suppression alone, so can't tell you.
