Anyone know who makes the AE sport coats? Is it Southwick? If so, some decent deals in clearance...

So the walnut Bartlett 2nd is discounted but not the brown? My wallet thanks you AE. Gives me more time to replenish 2017 shoe funds that have already been spent before the next 2nds sale...

Of course the seconds sale comes up as I'm trying to cut down on my shoe purchases. It's only natural after all.

The brown grain MacNeils are calling my name. Must resist...

I heard from the SA in my local retail that they were Brooks Brothers, so yes probably Southwick.

My buddy up in the twin cities just grabbed a pair of those. He started in on AE when I did last year, and while I've been collecting my eight pairs, I've FBW'd him into four of his own (Chili MacNeil, Merlot 5th Ave, Walnut Strand and now these). I should be getting commission. Now, just need to get him on here to really corrupt him. He's also eyeballing the HMs, and for good reason.

Dark chili PAs in the Wichita airport. Haven't worn these in a while, but glad I reached for them while packing.

I'm weighing the decision right now too with the Hops and Bart. I might be patient and see if Dabondo has one later this year. The merlot Hops is more my style, but I already have 6 cap toes. The Bart would expand my style and also give me another great walnut shoe.

Picked these due to guilt from posting non-AE content on wingtip wed so.

My wife would straight up murder me if I order one more pair, so why am I hovering over the Dalton, Liverpool, Fifth Street, St Johns, Shelton 2.0, Lexington AND Bartlett???

I never tire of wearing these. Love the patina that has developed on them over the years.

HM update.

The boots really are 99% flawless there is only one issue. The one swede tongue for the right boot the leather backing is 1/8 inch from the top and on the left boot it is 3/8 inch from the top.

So I have had the boots on since 7am, been on my feet all day so far (not in office today in warehouse) and no complaints. These are not the same feeling as the Normandy but you can easy wear them all day with no issue. Really feel mostly all broke in I have no issues or complaints at all better then most of my AE shoes especially on first time out. I will wait till the end of the day but I think these are the most comfortable AE boots or shoes I have.

As a side note I have seen many comments about HM tongue slip and that the suede is to weak. These tongues seems reasonably firm and it has leather sown to the back is that something new or it has always had the leather on the back. So far no slip for me after 7 hours today.

So as for the sale my Discover card is letting me update my claim since the Normandy is now on sale for $10 less the my submitted claim. And the AE store says since they already refunded me the diff on the Liverpool they can't help so submitting claim to Discover for price protection. So with all the shoes and boots I bought since Dec 2 the sale diff is $110 almost enough for another pair of shoes.

PSA: One pair of original (NOT 2.0) Jeffersons in 10D (black) appeared on the AE Ebay store today for $199. Firsts, not seconds. Someone needs to jump on it.

I don't know who makes them, but I picked one up last year and it is GREAT. It's probably the best sports coat that I own.
