Recomend me a sweet, tangy, and savory sauce?

For tofu, chicken, (and noodles?). Something versatile enough that tastes good on anything, and if I use too much it won't ruin the meal. Also is it better to pan fry chicken first, then apply sauce, or the sauce first then cook? Thanks!

I like this Sweet chili sauce. Even though it says "for chicken," you can use it for pretty much anything. I marinate meats with it, put it on salads and in stirfries. It even tastes good as a dipping sauce. Available at your local asian grocers. If you want to try it with chicken, marinate the meat in it overnight, then grill the next day. I haven't tried to pan fry with it, though.

Take a look at this site. http://www.robertrothschild.com/

I absolutely LOVE their hot raspberry preserves. One of the best food products I have ever purchased.

Not so sweet, but definitely tangy and good with rice / noodles is Worcestershire sauce; http://leaperrins.com/selecta.php

This may sound crazy, but I recommend you try making a simple lemon butter sauce, it's simple and goes well with chicken, pork or duck.

I LOVE lemon butter sauce. However, I'm more inclined to use it on asparagus than on a piece of chicken.

Trust me when I say, it goes great with chicken or thin pork tenderloins.

You have to give it a try, it's well worth it....plus it takes less than 5 minutes to make.
