Care? What care? That is the best part about chamois.

I don't believe that you would care for them any differently. However, my Vintage Indy's show more wear/variation in color than my reverse WTB's due to the darker color and nap of the leather.

Shameless plug, but I have a deer bone for sale, ready for anyone's "boning" pleasure

EDIT: sold

out of curiosity, why are you selling? Did you find that the bone was useful?

since it is raining and slushy I figured I got these specifically for days like this...
Great looking chamois LWB! I'm debating a preorder of these right now. However, I used to own a chamois boot, and while it looked amazing my feet got so hot wearing them. My feet get hot easily anyway, but that leather and being a boot seemed to spike the temps quickly for me. So, I've been debating: would the shoe version be not as hot? Or maybe an alpine LWB or scotch grain LWB instead, to cover my need of an easy slush-and-rain shoe? What are your thoughts?

This is interesting. Is this the concensus opinion? That waxed chamois doesn't breathe?

That's a stretch.
It is also not waxed, it is oiled in this case.
Mine breathe fine, and in fact are not completely waterproof.
There is such a thing as waxed flesh, but Alden to my knowledge doesn't offer any footwear with waxed flesh.
