What's a killer group workout? I like spin, but after out on the dial, where do you go from there?

Mass orgy.

Try drinking Kool-Aid beforehand, though.

Biking for 50 miles against the wind (wind must be 15+ mph), and you can't drop below 20 mph.

I wonder how much more of a workout a century sans wind is compared to the half century I described above?

I've done both, btw and would rather do a century without wind.

How is that a group workout? Are you counting the wind as the other member of your group?

Well if you ride with others, and you take turns blocking their wind and vice versa, it's a group effort.

Nice one. I didn't even think of this, though I should have.

Jon.

Only feasible if everyone in the group has access to good road bikes and necessary gears(extremely unlikely). Otherwise, the start-up costs is just ridiculous.

I suppose you could always drag the group out on their cheap bikes, and if you're route is a loop, try to lap them. That'd be a great workout.

50 mile laps, with waiting line for equipments at all time? I'd take soccer, basketball, rugby, or ultimate frisbee (provided a few people know how to play), or hell, fitness/boot camp over that anyday.

They'd better off doing a group crosscountry/trail run (pick a distance, anything over 3K works) just as well.
