Deo Veritas Custom Dress Shirts - Official Affiliate Thread

Hello Styleforum,

Allow us to formally introduce ourselves to the community.

We’re Deo Veritas (www.deoveritas.com), a custom dress shirt maker based out of Chicago. We started our company with a simple premise, creating beautiful (yet affordable) dress shirts that fit perfectly.

Today, our core business team is based in Chicago along with a highly talented production team in Turkey that construct our shirts.

Some unique features and attributes that help distinguish Deo Veritas:

Shirt Characteristics:

Clean, non-frayed stitching is a Deo Veritas hallmark that we ensure on each order. As such, we single-needle stitch all of our shirts with minimum of 16 stitches per inch. Our collars feature a durable four piece assembly, along with interlinings that we source directly from Germany (Wendler). We offer both a fused and non-fused (sewn) interlining option for all our shirts. Composite resin buttons come standard but we also offer 3.5 mm Mother of Pearl buttons for an additional $10 per shirt. Buttonholes are securely affixed with no visual gap between stitches. We also meticulously pattern match all sleeve plackets and yokes. Side gussets and split yokes are provided as a default standard unless otherwise specified.

Delivery (Lead Time):

We’re currently able to ship to anywhere in the world -- with an average of 10 days from order placement. In many cases we’re now delivering shirts in as little as 7 days (to N. America and parts of Western Europe) -- without expediting. Optimizing and automating the point of sale process coupled with our deployment of lean supply chain processes have been instrumental in our being able to achieve these marks.

User Interface:

Over the course of the last year, we sought to make the site -- most notably our Shirt Designer interface faster, more efficient, easier to use, and mobile responsive. For those familiar with Deo Veritas from ‘yester year’, we think you’ll find the new interface to be a vast improvement over our previous version. As always, if there are customization options not offered, we encourage users to provide them to us as one-off requests (see the ‘Other’ text field within the Fit section of the Shirt Designer). In almost all cases (e.g. custom collars / cuffs, horizontal stripes, contrasts), we’re able to accommodate ad hoc requests at no additional cost. For those that are new to MTM or short of time, we also offer a pre-designed collection of curated favorites.

Fabrics:

As part of it’s current collection, Deo Veritas is proud to offer a wide collection of 180+ fabrics from Italy, Turkey, Egypt, and Japan -- with showcase fabrics from acclaimed mills Tessitura Monti, Thomas Mason, and Soktas. As our production is based in Istanbul, we share a special local connection with Turkish mill Soktas -- which allows us to carry new patterns and weaves that are slightly ahead of the typical mill production curve.

Measurements:

We currently offer 4 different measurement methods. Each method is accompanied by detailed instructions and videos, clearly showcasing each step in detail.

  • Standard - ‘Off the Rack’ Sizing, e.g. 16” x 34” w/ slim cut;

  • Body Measurements - The traditional tailor method;

  • Existing Shirt Measurements - Measure a shirt that already fits you well;

  • QSizing - Our own algorithm derived questionnaire which doesn’t require a measuring tape.

Bespoke Requests:

We have the utmost faith in our talented team of experienced cutters, pattern makers, and seamstresses --  which means we can accommodate special requests above and beyond what our shirt designer provides. Email or PM us directly as we can guide you on the feasibility of a specific request. As noted above, ad hoc requests are almost always able to be accommodated.

Over the years we’ve observed, read, linked to, or contributed to a number of SF threads. As such, we value this community a great deal -- most importantly the knowledge and subject matter expertise that everyone willingly shares. We hope to contribute meaningfully both within this thread and through the site as a whole.

Please do not hesitate to connect with us via email (support@deoveritas.com) or PM - regarding shirting or any other areas sartorially inclined.

Lastly, we wish you and your families a safe and happy holiday season!

Best Regards,

Deo Veritas Support Team

Happy Holidays and Merry Xmas to everyone!

I just received a couple of your shirts earlier this month.  I can say that they are of great quality.  I started with a couple of simple shirts and they easily match the quality of much more costly MTM shirts that I own.  Couple that with the fact that I got some with cocktail cuffs and I now have my go-to for shirts in the future.  Thank you and welcome to the forum!

@jcman311 We're humbled by the compliment!  Even happier that you discovered our cocktail cuffs -- which are by far our favorites!

Following up to our last post, here are some more shots from our recent Fall lookbook, showcasing some great shirts from our pre-designed collection:

Bruton Meander - Blue and Navy Plaid Check. A perfectly chosen mix of white and blue hue on this larger box check make for a versatile, contemporary favorite.

Manhattan - Medium Blue Micro Check. This darker, French blue has subtle micro checks that are only apparent after a second glance. This fabric has a slight sheen and drapes beautifully, giving it a supremely tailored look.

Milward - White Oxford. Simple, crisp, and white -- this OCBD is a man's best friend. Our button-down's are super soft and have an absolutely perfect roll.

Norwich - Dark Blue Small Check. This bold glen plaid contains different hues of blue and gray. The twill construction allows for the pattern to look strikingly rich, while the light and dark tones work effortlessly together to provide a classic look.

As always, we welcome your questions, comments, and special custom / bespoke requests. Please email or PM us and we'd be more than happy to help!

Cheers,

Andre

Hi Andre,

What are the collar measurements/details (band height, collar points, fused/unfused, etc) on that style? My apologies if this info is currently available on the site. Thanks.

Hi there @patliean1

Happy to provide further information on that collar for you.

The collar points measure 3 1/2"

The spread measures 5 5/8"

The front collar band measures 1 1/2"

The rear collar band measures 1 9/16"

The tie gap is at 1/2"

This is an unfused collar with a very soft interlining.

Hope this helps! Let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

Cheers,

Andre
