I guess I'm just incredulous because every other site I've tried (Bestcustomshirts, Tailorstore, MyTailor) has a minimal turn around time of 1 month. I might just have to give them a try.

Ah this old post from me! And yes, I did promise pictures. I am lazy with such a thing, but will try to take some from home.. i've since ordered and again the shirts take about one week after placing the order

I too have ordered from Nialma. As coogie says, their customer service is great and their turn-around time is exceptional. The fit, too, is good: if you give them the proper measurements, they'll follow them exactly. But the quality of their shirts--or, at least, of the shirt they made for me--is poor. MOP buttons come standard on all their shirts, but the ones they use are paper thin: I am no shirt-construction expert, but the stitching looks very poor to me. It's very sloppy and uneven throughout and sometimes bulges from the shirt entirely, as can be seen in this photo. And the collar-stays they give you, while thick and sturdy, are near frankensteinien in shape. It looks as though a child fashioned this one with his safety scissors. Finally, and this may only apply to my particular shirt, but the buttons do not appear to be stitched on very well. The top button, as you may have noticed from the first photo above, fell off. It did so in the wash and after only two or three washes. Overall, I think there are much better values to be had for those who are willing to wait.

Jantzen for ROI. Without question.
Just make sure that you have the correct measurements and tell them exactly what you want. Order them and they will arrive....eventually.

The quality of my shirts seem good compared to other tailored shirts I have. it must be because they're handmade that the stitching isn't perfectly straight, I never noticed anything before your post. When comparing it to a ralph lauren shirt i'd say the stitching is better in places on each shirt... But I don't know a lot about the construction of shirts. What makes good stitching? very straight? The buttons are thin, but I quite liked that. I don't have any as freakishly thin as your collar one though lol They give lots of collar stays, one of my shirts had about 10 in the bag. But i use my own stays so it's not a problem for me. I really will try to take some photos and will include some of my mytailor and tailorstore shirts. I'd be interested to see photos from other members of their online tailored shirts and their judgement of the quality. I'm from the UK and cannot fathom waiting over a month for a $40 shirt from jantzden... maybe i have too much money but I always like paying the extra for service/quality

I also have used nialma following info here.

I have to give them a pretty good rating. Why?
1 they are damn quick - 2 weeks, less if you pay the premium for speedy delivery
2 they make exactly how you ask - they will do free test shirt for you for you to wash, wear and adjust - I altered my yoke from 18" to 18.25" and they did it.
3 they are consistent - duplicates are exactly that
4 i think they are very good value 4 shirts package = £36 each, I think I paid £28 to Jantzen, £42 to MyTailor. So sl more than Jantzen but when I want shirts I want them, not order and hope !

and those are the things I want from a shirt maker, stiching eveness is totally irrelevent to me - I want fit, I want it now and when Ive got my pattern i want future ones the same. I have tried others and I HATE ordering and waiting..... only to find it doesnt fit so I order again and wait......only to find the things I tweaked improved but then other "new" problems occur because of poor quality control etc etc. One year later no satisfactory shirts, 1 month of using Nialma = near perfection.

Fabrics are good, like Mytailor.com standard cottons, not like Thomas Mason. In comparison to Tailorstore they are much better and Jantzen is just so variable meaningfull comparison is pointless. They do a premium line of italian fabric which I have yet to try. Buttons are thin MOP but I prefer that, ive had Jantzen thicker buttons and i find them a pain. Can't comment on the collar stays Ive stuck to button down collars. Bear in mind MOP buttons, removeable stays and monogramming, split yoke etc are all at no extra charge.

My thoughts.

David, I think we all know your stuff is top notch. The question simply comes down to "affordability." Any plans to introduce cheaper or, say, less expensive stuff in the future???

Can anyone recommend online tailors not mentioned in this thread before? There seem to be a variety of options...

I have been very satisfied with http://www.saintsens.com/en/custom-made-shirts.htm

If you are outside the EU and order more than one the discount takes about 30% off the price and they have occasional special offers. They respond to email promptly. Shipment is usually in 10-15 days.

Interesting option. This site offers the most sensible range of choices I have seen so far.

The quality is great and is 100% cotton, not poly mix like many of the other sites and fits like a glove.
The best thing about this site is that it's 3D design software is years ahead of the rest and by far the best in the world, highly reccomended!!
Happy new Year.
