Ya I went to GWU as well - I lived in the rosslyn area the whole time and it was one metro away. I had no idea there were other GWU folk on here.

We are looking about 31 people so far if th maybes show up. Please if you havent polled yet please do so I can get enough gifts and other goodies for everyone.

Hobgoblin is my number one; beyond that I don't play strict favorites. But Three Philosophers is up there (says the Philosophy major). Dogfish Head too.

Don't think I'll be able to attend, though. :-/ Still, that's no reason to deny other forumers the pleasure of their first Hobgoblin.

d.c. has a very, very active nightlife scene, the thing that separates it though is that you have to actively seek it out, since a lot of what's advertised (nightclubs and shitty dance nights) isn't necessarily the most happening thing on a given night.

that's not to say it's very elitist, it's just that in a town with so much going on in terms of domestic policy, it's pretty easy for a lot of good parties to not be in the limelight, but honestly that's usually for the best so you don't get a lot of jerks in attendance.

as far as my favorite beers, the denim bar is usually pretty stocked with red stripe or stella every time i'm in there, and since it's free, i won't complain, so you guys can do no wrong!
