Last year, I went to one of their fitting events looking to get a new basic career suit and shirt. I brought with me the exact same suit (Brooks Bros) and shirt (Pink) I wanted reproduced, but the salesman laughed at me for mistrusting and said they were pros and didn't need any patterns if they had my measurements. The salesman was really pushy. I wanted to start with one suit and shirt and he kept pushing me to buy more so he could give me a volume discount. I was reassured multiple times that they made one set first and would make the others once they got the fit right, so I caved in and bought 3 suits and 6 shirts.
The first set came soon enough (within few weeks) but the measurements was really off (too wide in waist) and the craftmanship was crude. I am no snob but I know a good quality suit -- so believe me when I say the cutting and stitching was poor, like the items were made by someone with a craft kit. Even if the measurements had been correct, the items would still not be suitable to wear in public - let alone a suit I would wear to work. There were so many things wrong with it - wrong waist measurements, weird puckering around pants, misaligned hems on the front of the jacket, shirt placket was too wide. So I returned the items and sent my list of issues expecting them to fix them like they claimed, but got a reply saying they had already cut the fabric for the other sets and then after one reply from me, I never heard from them again. Nice, huh? I am out $2000. They know you can't fly over there and harrass them in person.
BEWARE OF THESE GUYS.
agree, beware of these guys, they are the worst tailors you can imagine. If anyone has had luck with these guys, is because they have paid peanuts and happy with garbage. Their workmanship and attention to detail is appalling, and honesty even worse.
I ordered some garments, and was measured by the tailor Vicky, not only did the garments I receive look like crap, but fitted even worse. They promised to redo the garments, and refund if not happy, I just received the second lot of garments, and similar and new issues, and asked for refund, but they won't honour our written agreement. AVOID!!!
absolutely the WORST online shopping experience of life so far -and i buy everything online.
perhaps, you may have a different experience. what a ginormous mistake for me! not recommended at all. i say AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!
to give you idea of the disaster that i endured with these clowns, read the email message below that i sent to them.
note: after the email below, i returned the shirts to them one more time to fix along with a custom shirt from another shop that which fit perfectly for them to model. shipping costs $50 and they offered a free shirt. this time they refused to let me upgrade the shirt even at my own expense. 9-10 week later, 12/30/2011, nine shirts arrived -including model shirt. they only altered six shirts. they returned two shirts unaltered. i didn't bother to contact them again. i decided to cut the two shirts into short sleeve shirts -cost $42. if you chose to use these clowns, it seems best to send an article of clothing for them to model.
now here's my tale. enjoy!

hello swell people at mct:
filled with excitement, i opened the package containing the seven shirts that i ordered from mct. expecting that after seven months, i would finally get to wear the shirts i ordered in march this year, 2011. eagerly, i opened the box in which i found two other packages. excitedly and carefully, i tore into one the packages and retrieved a white shirt -my favorite shirt. patiently, i unbuttoned the shirt and slipped my hand into the left sleeve. ooops!! i forgot to unbutton the cuffs! with my right hand, i reach towards the left cuffs and undo the buttons. i unbutton the right cuffs and i slip my hand into the right sleeve. pull the shirt over my shoulders.
guess what? i can't pull the shirt quite onto my shoulders because the sleeves fit too narrow to let my forearm slide through. the tight sleeves make it challenging to button up the shirt because they restrict my ability to bend my elbows. you see, when i bend at the elbows, my forearms expand making the already tight shirt feel a bit like a strait jacket.
so, as you may have gathered from the previous paragraph the shirts do not fit!!! and they appear much worse off than before i returned them to you. before the sleeves were too long and i could wear the shirts. now the sleeves are too short and worse yet, the forearms are so small that i can't pull the sleeves all the way up! also at least couple of the shirts turned out short in the body that i would struggle to keep from becoming untucked. inconsistent shirt lengths from top to bottom.. how could mct have erred so badly??? this seems like really poor attention to detail. did i do something wrong??
chronology:
08/10: i discover mct and order a measuring kit.
09/10: receive measuring kit and decide to wait until mct's next roadshow and get properly measured by mct tailor because they are the experts and they'll know best. right????
02/11: receive email about mct's north america roadshow and i schedule appointment w/ mct tailor for march 2010 in phoenix. i live in denver, colorado.
02/11: intending to begin a long-term relationship with mct, i purchase plane tickets for trip to phoenix. cost $180. airport parking: $15. mileage cost to/from airport: $25 ($0.55 x 50miles)
03/22/11: visit with mct tailor, ravi, and get measured by expert tailor. right???? expert will take the proper measurements. right??? well worth the investment in a plane ticket. right???? i intend to order one shirt so that we can get it right before ordering more. ravi insists that i order six shirts. i acquiesce and place an order for six shrits. cost: $600
04/25/11: receive shirts and well... the shirts' sleeves were 2.5 inches too long. the shirts' lengths were 2 inches too long. shirts flair nearly 2 inches on each side at the bottom. how could the tailor's measurements been so off??? hmmm... i have ordered custom clothing and have purchased custom clothing since purchasing from mct. no one has been so off.
04/25/11: i email mct about the debacle with the shirts.
04/26/11: mct responds and tells me to take pictures and return the shirts. i decide that not to pursue this route because i lack confidence in mct's ability to fix the issue via that method. i decide that perhaps i just wasted the money.
06/09/11: receive email about mct's north america roadshow and i schedule appointment w/ mct tailor for august 8th in san francisco. i shall be in san ramon on business.
08/08/11: i drive 40 miles to meet tailor in san mateo. bridge tolls: $10. mileage cost: $44 ($0.55 x 80 miles). tailor, ravi, measures me again. this will prove much better than sending pictures. right???? after all, he's the expert. right??? nothing better than having the expert measure me in person. right???
08/17/11: i ship shirts to mct in thailand. cost: $49.
08/17/11: to defray shipping cost, mct offers free shirt. i upgrade shirt: cost $30
10/14/11: receive altered shirts from mct (8 weeks later). every shirt -including the new shirt- do not fit!! amazing! even with "expert" measurements the outcome proves disastrous.
10/17/11 (today): i email mct about the mess.
total expenditures: $950 for seven shirts. cost per shirt: $135.71
so please tell me what responsibility i own for this mess. i feel as though i expended considerable resources to afford mct the opportunity for create shirts that would fit. believing that in person measurements would offer the best opportunity for success, i traveled out of my way twice to visit with the tailor in person. if i bear no responsibility for this outcome, please tell how you intend to remedy the situation -without costing me any more money please.
i have attached photos of me wearing the shirts. the sleeves on two of the shirts fit so tight around my forearms that they restrict my ability to button the third button from the top. notice the white and green shirts with third button undone.
this situation confounds me. how do you go from sleeves too long to sleeves too short and forearms so tight??? what happened to the measurements??? did you use the measurements??? did you measure incorrectly???
how do you intend to solve this matter???
thank you.

You got lucky, dude!
Mycustomtailor.com & Ravistailor.com are one & the same ROTTEN outfit. Ravi, the master tailor who looks like a frog, is a dishonest & incompetent man. He measured the suit jacket 2 inches short, made the pant bottoms too big--this after I went thru the measurements with him three times. After the suit arrived & I informed him he asked me to mail the suit back to him in Thailand for corrections. I paid $40 to ship it & he returned the damn suit without fixing it. Now he says he can't fix the jacket. But if you read the terms & conditions of the contract, he is supposed to replace the jacket that he hasn't done. MYCUSTOMTAILOR.COM MUST BE AVOIDED like the plague. if you VALUE your hard earned money. In fact Thailand tailor have to be avoided like the plague. Go to Hong Kong or Shanghai where they honor their word & if you are dissatisfied they will remake the suit to please you. NOTE also that Ravistailor & Mycustomtailor do not identify the fabric quality on the inside of the jacket--largely because what material you pick at the time of ordering they switch it at delivery time. Lousy workmanship. Robi
