Hi there,

I'm planning on shelling out on a Aquascutum trenchcoat. Specificly the Bogart model, but I have mixed feelings about getting away with wearing it seeing as it's fairly long, definitly below knee length. I imagine this type of trenchcoat is more challenging to pull off, but after having been showered in the autumn rain last week I'm convinced my next winter (winter is a mild term, at it's most cold it probaly gets like 0 to 5 degrees celcius here.) should be a trench. Do you guys have any thoughts on longer trenchcoats and how to wear them? Another thing I was wondering was what the general concensus here is about the 65% polyester 35% cotton mix. I know Aquascutum has a couple models that are 100% cotton, but I haven't been able to track any of those down on resale websites. I'm also pretty sure that they won't make any of those anytime soon.

Cheers!

Hey,

Personally, I think that trench coats look good on very few men. I guess it depends mostly on your body type. What's your height? If you're rather short there are good chances that you'd look ridiculuous.
Could you post any pics so we could get an idea what's your style and body type?

I don't have any pics at the ready, I'll add some later. I'm 186cm, or roughly 6'1, so at least I'm not short. ;)
My clothing style generally speaking is on the more preppy/smart casual side, though I hate those terms. You can probaly see me wearing suits with turtlenecks, polo shirts, sport coats with a button down, that type of thing. I also like slim fitting jeans/chino's. Most of my stuff is on the slimmer side, as I don't have a very heavy build. I'm 76 kilos or about 168 lbs.
