Getting the drop on "drop"

So, I get that 'drop' as it refers to suit sizes means that you deduct the drop number from the US/UK jacket size to get the pants' waist measurement. I.e. a 42 drop 6 suit comes with 36 inch pants.

But I also see jackets like this with a drop 7. What does it mean in this context?

The shape of the jacket.

Ok, but in relation to which measurements when there are no pants involved? Is it the chest minus the drop equals the waist of the coat?
