Penny loafer advice

Newbie here looking for some guidance...

I'm looking for a hard wearing black polished penny loafer that I will be wearing to work most days....budget circa 150-300

I love the look of the Loake Eton loafer but would rather a better quality but don't believe that Church, Cheaney or C&J do a shoe in this style. Am I wrong?

Also would you go to Bicester, go to Northampton or buy online at Herring? I'm an hour from Oxford or Northampton so not a problem unless it would be a waste of time

I would go with the Crockett and Jones Boston.  Being that close to Northampton, go to the factory shop and see what they have.  Even if they don't have what you're looking for the first time, go back because the selection constantly changes.  The deals are well worth it.
