My ties are not hanging straight

Hi.

I have an issue with some of my ties, which are 100% wool (and slim).

My ties are always pointing in a direction when I am wearing it, rather than just straight down. Also, when I am hanging my ties on the rack, its straight (like I ruined some structure in it) Is it because I tie my ties too hard?

How do I make the tie go back to its original condition, steam?

Kindest regards

What kind of knot are you tying?

Hold the tie at the tip of the narrow blade and let it hang. If there is any twisting along the length of the tie it means the tie is not cut on true bias and will not hang straight when worn. If it is cut properly the tie will hang perfectly straight without any twists or turning.

Four in hand and Half Windsor knots! This doesnt happen to my silk ties, only for my wool tie (my ties are from the same designer brand where i work)

Perhaps i ruined the structure by tying is too strongly?

?

Curious problem.

maybe op is very short so the knot is at a wider part of the tie? i can sort of imagine how a four-in-hand might do this, but then again i'm on the tall side...
