You ask as if I know these things.  The trunk show I am responsible for, but I'm gonna leave someone else in charge of any after parties.

Yes?

We need all the people that we can get helping with set up and strike,  So, essentially, work on grip strength.  We will pay with beer and wine.

RSVP'd and coming out of the woodwork to say I'm happy to help throughout the event. Still in the city, same as last year.

And I'll be bringing a friend who's also more than happy to help out.

I imagine that this means that you are going?

To everyone: Please RSVP here: https://theproperkit.splashthat.com

While you can always drop by, we are only allowed so many people in the venue at a time, and I want to make sure that all of you get in.  Also, that we have enough drinks and food for you good folks (and some of us bad eggs too .)

Cheers,

Fok.

Will the food be sufficiently filling to make a meal out of it, or should we plan on getting lunch elsewhere?

We... are still working on that.  Last year, we had Mac n cheese, and it was definitely enough to make a huuuuge meal out of it.  This year, we may have a caterer with small bites, or some cheese and charcuterie, or something else.  A few things are up in the air.

Suffice it to say, it will probably not be the same as last year, since my fellow organizers consider me a barbarian (which I wear with pride, btw), and won't allow me to serve super heavy food.

But.. I am taking beer requests right now.  We are also doing some wine and prosecco/.  Anyone asking for $500 bottles of wine will be cordially invited to bring a bottle or three for me, of course.  Oh, and we do have door surprise for you guys planned.  If anyone has some a way with pithy sartorial sayings, please email me at styleforum,net@gmail.com

Glad to have you aboard.  And you have a secret connection to the forum!  Which I think that people could appreciate.

BTW, NYC guys - who has the best bombolini in town for that 10:30 crowd?  Gonna get 100 or so and a handful of carafes for the vendors, organizers, and whoever else shows up early.

Bombolini? Schmombolini! Just get donuts - Donut Pub on W. 14th, just west of 7th Avenue, or, if you want upscale donuts, Donut Plant on West 23rd, between 7th and 8th (in the Chelsea Hotel building).

Unhappily, I will not be able to attend this year - a fractured right pelvic bone (happily, a stable fracture, so no surgery required), but I have to stay off my feet for six weeks, and walk around using a walker. I'm on Day 10 of approximately 42 - cabin fever rising . . .

Bummer, it would have been good to see you.

So... No love for Sullivan Street Bakery bombolini?
