I noticed that many people do not put insoles in their dress shoes?
Yes, I am suggesting this kind of thin insoles not orthotics. I bought ALDO insoles because a sales person told me that dress shoes must be worn with insoles. Ok, I do not wear ALDO shoes anymore, but I am still not used to the hardness of leather soled dress shoes. I could not walk in a new pair of leather soled dress shoes because of the pain. However, the insoles allowed me to run and stand a whole day in the same dress shoes without pain (still felt something). After a month of wearing, the leather sole got softer so I could wear the shoes without Aldo insoles.
My question is, are dress shoes designed to be worn with insoles? I do not want an answer like, its your own preference. Just tell me whether you wear insoles in your dress shoes. If not, how did you deal with the pain caused by a brand new pair? Thanks for your advice.
BTW, even thin insoles like this, I still need to size up half a size.
