Grungy style 6 years in the making; help with my final style quest

Thread Starter
I've been a member here for six years; I started this journey then and I would like to finally put an end to it. Obviously, my style will keep moving forward and progressing, but I'm going to try and put words with the way I feel and the way my life has went; because if our style doesn't fit our personality and experiences, what's even the point? I'm not someone who gives a shit about posting WAYWT threads or doing fit checks -- my goal here is purely utilitarian.

My wardrobe is complete casual wear. I have no need for classic menswear, sans weddings, in my day-to-day. Anymore, I'm just as comfortable in any third world country as I am at home. I've walked long miles through unfriendly territory and still have some miles to go. What caused me to write this is I realized I felt bad sitting on a curb in half the clothes I own and I decided that was bullshit; that's not my personality and that's not my life. My life is carelessly rough around the edges and hyper-masculine, and my wardrobe should be too. I've looking for a certain grungy, industrial, workwear/biker flavored wardrobe.

I believe, for me, it makes the most sense to think of a wardrobe as a grid or slot format. If I don't, I'll end up buying random shit that just ends up taking up space in my closet. I want to find 2-3 durable, classic peices for each of the next slots:

1) Minimalist - dark blue jeans, t-shirt, hoodie, sneakers
2) Military/utilitarian - boots, fitted chinos or black jeans, Schott 641 jacket
3) Biker/grunge - Perfecto, lighter wash jeans, boots or possibly hi-tops
4) workwear/heritage - Flannels/plaids that you ball up and through in the corner until you need them again and henleys

Each set akin enough that you get synergy throughout the total wardrobe. i would say my biggest shortfall is currently footwear; I admittedly don't know much of anything about sneakers, but believe that footwear can easily make or break an outfit.

To end I'll write a few notes about myself; I'm 5'10" 188 lbs. athletic build. Dark hair light eyes. Sleeve tattoos that tell the stories of the places I've been and the people I've met. Style inspiration can be drawn from Jason Statham, Ryan Gosling, Steve McQueen, Tom Waits.

I sincerely appreciate any help, guidance, or shared thoughts.

EDIT: Added the bit about sneakers
