Good eveneing gentlemen,

We created this thread to discuss and centralize ideas for MTO's, and Group MTO's for Vass shoes.

Vass is a unique brand, and we are happy to have been able to build such a close relationship with the sales manager, production manager and Mr. Vass over the past years.

As a forum affiliate and official retailer of Vass, we would like to get the ball rolling on some great Vass makeups, and introduce more Styleforum member to this wonderful brand! Our first aim is to create classic models, that do the Vass brand justice. To learn a little bit more about Vass and how their shoes are made, we welcome you to read the story here: http://jeeves.store/vass/

1. Made To Order

We offer an extensive MTO program, where you can choose your preferred last, model, leather type, color, and many more details such as the welt stitching and sole finishing. Share your MTO idea here, send us a PM or a direct email to contact@jeeves.store if you would like to order.

For all information about our MTO program and policy, have a look here: http://jeeves.store/made-to-order-shoes/

First big update!

We have sourced the best tanneries in Europe for some great new leathers. These tanneries do have a high minimum value, and that is exactly the reason why a group MTO is a good idea. The following leathers are available through us, but only as a GMTO. These leathers require a minimum order value through our tannerie of around 8 square meter of leather, which makes around 20 pair of shoes. Colors and leather options can be mixed and matched, and if we can not reach the minimum the leather can always be used for RTW models!

1. Inca Grain: a soft grain leather made on the best calf sides.

2. Alpine Grain: a tighter grain than Inca, made on the best calf sides.

3. Genuine Buffalo calf, very soft, great grain! A leather with a very deep lustre, which will polish up great!

We will post three new leathers books tomorrow!

Above leather options are grrrreat....

Can you please clarify if the below inca grain is from the above inca grain options ( only with GMTO) or not?

@Gabru

Yes, the brown Inca grain we used for your limited RTW model is Inca 6120. The difference in tone is due to the fact that the first leather swatches (the large set of swatches) is untreated. Our shoes have been waxed and polished, darkening the leather some. The smaller set of swatches, with alpine, Kudu, English Grain and Inca have also been waxed and buffed slightly.

That goes for all the swatches basically, these have not been treated, polished, waxed or burnished. The buffalo leather for example would take a good buffing, so can really darken in certain areas.

Later today we will be posting Anilveau calf and tumbled calf!

Introducing:

Tumbled Calf Sides. Especially no. 3 - 4 - 5 and 9 - 10 are stunning.

Anilveau Calf icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif with colors such as Toucan, Meleze, Bolet and 'no.22'

Soon available a part of a group made to order project with Vass

PS: the marks and stretch lines on the leather are due to the fact that cuttings are taken from the outside of the skins.

As for the 'rules' of the GMTO:

Many of the leathers used for these GMTO's come from a European leather merchant that we sourced ourself. They provide some of the best shoemakers, within Europe and outside. The only downside is that there is a minimum order value for the leather that equals enough leather for around 20 pairs of shoes.

Does this mean every model has to reach 20 participants? No, of course not. As a retailer we don't mind taking some leather in stock, since we can make it in something beautiful through Vass, our belt maker or any other of our artisans.

It would be nice if we could reach 20 participants in total but even that is not entirely neccesary smile.gif!

There has been some interest for the Valway boots.

Also, let's put an end date to this: October 23th. Delivery of all shoes or boots should be in January then. What say you? That's a whole month to gather 6,12 or 18 orders.

I am interested in the Valway boots.

Great, that's one potentially interested member for the Valway, and one interested. Noted.

Keep 'em coming!

Just had a second confirmation for the Valway boot, and one member that might be interested.

Will post a picture tomorrow of how the Anilveay / Inca Grain combination might look!

@Notch don't want to derail the thread, but what are some of the things that would cause price hikes if going MTO through Jeeves' website? Basically just premium leathers (cordovan, etc)?
