By the way, in other news, there is a Winter Sale going on

I comment/critique in the tailors' thread. I'll comment and critique in this thread as well.
I would personally never buy an indochino suit primarily because they don't offer enough options that can affect the fit but i certainly understand why people do. Surfing around on this thread for awhile, I've seen a lot of issue that affect the balance of the jacket and pants. Also, issues that affect neck and shoulder fit. Those have a lot to do with self-analyzation of posture, but also they need to present those options. I've gone thru their online fitting/measuring process just to check and it's missing certain elements. I'm sure they'll update as time goes on.
If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask or PM me and I'll get back to you.

How does the Gilt City deal actually work? I didn't see a coupon code. Do you pay the full price and get a refund afterwards?

Ok...makes sense. Thanks for the insight.
I'm not too sure that it's mostly people who are inexperienced with suits that are the only ones who are unhappy with Indochino. I myself have heard from several very experienced people who have tried shopping at Indochino and have found it to be poor quality construction and tailoring. Obviously it's hard with online suiting to get a perfect fit (this would be why one would advocate for actually buying a suit in person) but because it is not the only online source out there for that sort of thing, there are many other places that do better...

The first suit's hit or miss, but after that, the company's solid. After my first experience, I had a lot of contempt for Indochino because it seemed like they'd blatantly disregarded my measurements (they acknowledged the screw up), but I've ordered from them a few more times, and they're solid. They don't give you as much control over specific measurements like button stance, half-back vs. half-chest/waist, lapel width, etc, but they touch most of the bases, and the simplicity can be a good thing for those "inexperienced" customers that you mentioned. As long as you don't fudge the measurements, you'll get a suit that fits better than those worn by most guys.

They are poor quality. If I didn't think I'd be likely to outgrow the suits within the next few years, and if I hadn't gotten them on sale, I'd have gone with Black Lapel. As it is, I may buy a DB jacket from them, unless Black Lapel adds that option in the next 6-8 months.

I'm given to believe that they're fused, but they try to hide the fact with some buzzwords. I've an odd waistcoat from them that isn't holding up very well, but... perhaps I'm being unfair. They're not that bad.

Yeah, I may keep shopping with them for the next few year, just because it would be a shame to switch after getting my measurements dialed in. That said, I could really go for some wide peak lapels, and indochino doesn't do that.
