Indochino suits? - Page 178

The fabric seems fine to me...about what I expected.  I picked up the deal with the free shirt and tie.  Tie isn't anything to write home about...and the shirt material is really light (poplin probably)...but I think the suit material is fine.

Hi All,

My remake arrived today and the suit turns out okay.

What the remake entails, in truth is really just the measurement changes.

Making it double vent kinda solved the center vent flaring problem. (Thanks SF, never center vent again)

Button stance, I measured it and they lower the top button by 0.5" and decrease the gap between the top and bottom button by 0.5". Thus the lower button stance of 1".

Sleeve pitch problem wasn't solve, I gave up.  *Their work on sleeves are just mediocre, my Brooks Brother was really good, drapes down straight, minimal wrinkles when move around, and detail of the stitch is great. Italy 1 - China 0.

Overall the first suit wasn't a bad fit, just detailing here and there make the entire suit fall out.

The remake didn't address all the details but did make it a better fit.

Wrinkles/extra cloth above the knees still persist, maybe it's just my body type with huge thigh and hip that made their cut weird.

Verdict: If you ask my honest opinion, for under $400 I am satisfied and delightful after all the troubles.

Would I recommend it to a friend? NO, save yourself some time and anticipation. Unless you have really odd ball size or build, just get OTR or save up money for the good stuff.

Will post contrast pictures if anyone would like to see the difference.

I'd like to see you after pictures especially.  You can find my remake result here:

I agree with you, for a < $400 suit, it's not bad, and am not sure if another remake will remedy all the remaining problems (sleeve pitch...)

Just received my first Indochino suit and shirt. Wondering if I could get some feedback on the fit. Jacket sleeves are 3/4-1 inch too short (is there enough material built into these suits to let it out that much?). Not sure what to do about the 'wrinkling / bunching' on the suit sleeves? Overall I think the suit could be more shapely, but I am unsure on how to ask for this.

Please let me know what to ask indochino / my tailor to do.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Recieved my first Indochino suit and shirt. Overall, I am please of the first make.

I think the pants may be an inch short, not sure what the consensus opinion would be. I have never had the pants really hang above the shoe, as you see in one of the pictures, which I think looks funny.

I opted for the rounded vest style, didn't realize it would round so low that it was not visible with the jacket on.

I also went with contrast stiching on the sleeve button holes. I picked Dark Grey (thinking good, but not outrageous contrast), as you see on the vest, but the stitching was not nearly as contrast as I thought.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Have you tried wearing the suit jacket with a different shirt? I can see that the French cuffs on that shirt look quite large and that they are also probably quite stiff. As a result, it's possible that they are trapping the suit sleeves so that a) fabric is bunching up around your upper forearm and elbow and b) the sleeve looks too short as a result.

I could be wrong, but I suspect that if you try the jacket with a shirt that has button cuffs, it might sit better on your arms. It's worth a try, at least.

The pants are too long. The jacket looks a tad too short. The shoulders are strange and round. I'm not sure what that's about. The body of the jacket needs shape. It's not flattering.

The armholes and biceps look too big on the shirt. The chest and waist on the suit look too big as well. Your sleeves don't have the issues mine has. I think your tailor may be able to fix the suit issues.

Probably one of the best fitting suits I've seen on this thread.  Dig the blue sharkskin!

I uploaded those pics when I requested the remake.  I didn't ask to loosen up the back, but I did ask about the rolls on the back.  Hopefully they'll catch that.  Overall, it's an ok suit.  Decent for the price, but I'm not sure I'd go through the hassle of buying another one.  Maybe my mind will change with the remake.  I'll post up when it comes back.

I didn't see anything in your pics worthy of a full remake. Roll under the collar, sleeve length and pant length are pretty standard local tailor stuff. What else did you ask them to do?
