I'm assuming it's the $319 for a suit (essential line only), a shirt, and a tie

The people who are complimenting you are probably the type of people who are just impressed by the idea of a man in a suit, no matter how shittily it fits. The guys who use this site are a little less easily impressed. I'll admit, some of the member here take this site (and clothes in general) WAAAAAY too seriously, but most of the reviews that I've seen in this thread are dead on. The suits just don't fit well.

Why don't you post those pictures of your suit? I'm interested in seeing them.

If you can get the measurements right, that's not a bad deal.

I'm not sure I would've gone with an Indochino suit vs. all the other options out there, but I am buying a tuxedo from them because when it comes to tuxes, the options are pretty limited at the lower price point (most of what you find in department stores are 2-button notch lapel flap pocket jackets).  And tuxes rarely go on sale (aside from store/website-wide sales on everything), so it's not like you get hope to get a great deal on a more expensive tux.  So, for $320 I'm getting a "MTM" tux and an "MTM" tux shirt (as well as a nice glen plaid tie to wear with suits and not the tux).  Not a bad deal overall, even if the fit isn't perfect.

Unfortunately the most recent deal has passed (it was running like a month ago).  But they had one back in June or July too, so keep an eye out.  The deal is $320 for a suit ($379 value), a custom shirt ($99 value) and a tie ($49 value).  If you want a more expensive suit, you just pay the difference.

They very well may run one again in a few months.  The most recent one appeared on The Daily Hookup's site, and before that it was a Chicago area "Google deals" deal.

At first glance without studying it too intensely right this minute, the suit looks pretty decent overall, but the shirt looks too big throughout (shoulders, sleeves)

Some of the suits look awful and people should be aware. That being said, expectations can often seem a bit high. You're spending 400$, don't expect a suit that looks like it's $2000. Buying an MTM takes a bit of expertise on the buyers part as well, so you can't blame the company for everything. If you don't know if a suit fits well when looking in the mirror, you should be going to the store and getting help, not ordering on-line and hoping for the best. After you know exactly what you want and how you like a suit to fit, maybe then you should be getting MTM. At least you'll be able to give proper instructions when you're getting a remake done if things don't go perfect the first time.

I'm fine with getting a shirt on-line MTM, but a suit has too many variables.

It's ok. The sleeves are a bit long, and the upper back needs to be let out. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but it might be a tad tight at the waist.

I wouldn't recommend Indochino over some other MTM companies, but that's not a bad price for those items.

Jacket sleeves too long. Pants look a bit too long. The back of the jacket is too tight at the top and too full at the underarms. Overall, not bad.

Thanks for the comments.  It's in for a remake. I uploaded those pics when I requested the remake.  I didn't ask to loosen up the back, but I did ask about the rolls on the back.  Hopefully they'll catch that.  Overall, it's an ok suit.  Decent for the price, but I'm not sure I'd go through the hassle of buying another one.  Maybe my mind will change with the remake.  I'll post up when it comes back.

Their fabric feels a little strange too. Maybe if I tried more of their items, I'd think differently, but I don't plan to buy another suit from them unless the price is about $200 AND I see a pattern that blows me away. As far as I'm concerned, they can't win me back without those two things.
