Anywho...here is a picture at long last of my first (of 2) IC suits, the one I bought in I think July 2010. The jacket had no further alterations. I had the pants hemmed (I requested unhemmed) and slimmed a bit below the thigh.

That's an amazing fit. Did you request for other things after you ordered your suit (eg., natural shoulders, lower button stance, higher armholes, etc)? Did you have to make any adjustments on your measurements (taking or adding inches to them) or simply measured following their instructions?

I measured according to instructions, and then compared to existing suits that fit well. Remember, this goes back 2 years, before the new system. I do remember taking off a half inch or full inch in a few places, as at the time guys like Lorenzl (sp?) had ordered several suits and suggested a few tweaks to the chest, shoulder, and bicep measurements.

What was interesting was the second order, which I made in late September of 2010 (so about 3 months after the one you see pictured). A couple of the measurements were changed - I remember the wrist, and I think should width and one other. I had to change those back, and the result was equal to what you see here.

For the record, I have not ordered anything since so I can't comment about the new process.

Do these guys allow for very high armholes (Basically so high that the jacket is barely lifted with the arms), or is that limited?

You have to request it, and in my case, they ignored it the first time around.  On the remake you can adjust the armhole +/- 1.5"

They just shipped my remake and the updated measurements reflect my changes EXCEPT for the bicep, which was and apparently still is, too big.  They simply ignored my measurement change.   I'll let you know what happens when it gets here.

Just in case you missed the announcement, Indochino traveling tailor is coming to San Francisco on September 18-23 with suit with free shirt offer.  I'm debating whether to go.  Still waiting for my first Indochino suit that will finally get here next week.

By the way, just got the suit, shirt, tie deal and am getting a navy suit, white shirt but I cant pick the tie. Which would be a pretty universally ok tie for any occasion/interviews for jobs?

Proper Suit are excellent.

To someone who asked how to stay informed about coupons and deals - I think I didn't miss a single one for the last 2 years. If there is an offer, it's on my blog's coupon page and for big coupons/deals I also do a short post that get's delivered via RSS or newsletter.

I can't decide if the superhero linings are cool or just tacky. Any ideas? I can still change the lining on my order. Here is what I bought:

The Superhero Indigo Blazer

(w/ Burgundy Liner)

The Superhero 24KT Shield Raincoat

(w/ Navy Liner)

Do you think I should leave it at that, or switch it to the liners they have pictured? They are kind of unique, but I cant decide if I think they are tacky or cool.

I would change the lining on the sport coat and return the raincoat.

Make the lining the superhero one? Why return the raincoat, they have a money back guarantee, i am looking for a coat like that

How often do people see the lining of your jackets? Who gives a fuck.
