Indochino suits? - Page 140

The sleeves are likely done to spec, but the gentleman's posture is slightly tilted back which changes the angle of his arms with respect to his body. A remake won't fix that.

If his posture is tilted then the sleeve-pitch should be correspondingly rotated. Of course, an online MTM company like Indochino will rarely give you any control over changing the sleeve pitch, but maybe they should...

Highly doubtful re: sleeve pitch remake. Outside of SF, you think anyone knows anything about sleeve pitch? I just asked one of my Jos Bank wearing colleagues about that topic. He looked at me like I was painted blue.

shoulders -.5

pant hips -.25
crotch -.25
pants length +1 (wore with shoes and remeasured cuz pants were incredibly short)

Let me know what you think of these adjustments. I will update you guys on the remake. As well, does anyone know the remake process? I've submitted the remake application. When do I send in the 1st suit? as well, do I need to use same packaging? Thanks in advance!

Other than the shoulders, your tailor could have done all of this. Every OTR jacket I buy is nipped in the waist and hips, and sleeves adjusted. Pretty standard stuff. But if IC is willing to do a remake and you don't mind waiting, go ahead I guess.

Those are tiny changes, 0.25 won't change anything! As someone mentioned, a tailor can easily take care of this (and much more)

What other changes do you recommend? I was thinking .75 inches. dunt want it to  get too small either.

Just received my first IC suit today; from the $700 sale as well. I chose the Preferred Stock Pinstripe suit, and a Wrinkle-free white dress shirt. Both fit well (I have low standards since my last suit fit terribly). There was a Essential Black Blazer in that order as well, but it wasn't in the box and so I emailed them about it.

Just out of curiosity; should suit pants be of a length so that when sitting, socks are visible? My GF says that it looks weird when socks are visible.

From what i gathered, it is important that your pants are of the correct length. Socks would definitely show when seating, just don't show anything but socks though

Worry about the break when you're standing. If pants cover all sock while you're sitting then you're going to be dragging the cuffs on the floor when you stand.

+1

If you can't see your socks when sitting then your trousers are probably way too long.

Get a new GF.

Just kidding. But yes, socks should be visible while in the sitting position.

Got it. Thanks all for the advice; I look forward to rocking the suit at some upcoming business events and interviews!

If your socks are not visible when seated, your pants are too long. End of story.

In my opinion, anything more than quarter break and you look like some guy who just bought a random suit and wore it without tailoring. And, in that case, why would you be spending the money and effort on made-to-measure suits?

I am actually astonished at how poorly my new Indochino suit fits. I figured that by waiting for the pop-up event and having one of their tailors measure me it would be better. I was wrong.

The shoulders and collar fit well but that's where the positives end. The jacket is too short & too wide (too much fabric in the chest), the pants are too big everywhere (waist, seat, crotch, thighs and legs), and my tailor says it would cost more than the suit cost to make the required adjustments.

Not sure I want a re-make at this point - just want my money back...

hey all
i'm one of the people who went to the Pop Up shop and purchased a suit in person. My suit jacket and shirt are much too tight and are def going back (i'll post pics very soon).

However i'd like to get opinions on my pants. other than the length which i'll get done by a local tailor, what do you think of the fit? I'm not even sure what I should be looking for in terms of pants fit, so I'd love to hear your opinions on if i should send it back to get certain things fixed (crotch, hips, thighs, etc) or if i should leave it as is.

(fyi, i folded up the right bottom pant leg)
