Indochino suits? - Page 131

That is strange. I would send Angie an independent email, not a reply, asking if it's legit. Or at least ask for some further details. Or maybe ask if you can order using a different CC without having to provide ID.

Also might be a good idea to call your CC and tell them what happened and ask why it might have been flagged.

I am very sorry, however, your order has been listed in our security check process and for your protection, I need you to answer a few questions and verify some documents in order to process your order.

Can you please email me a scanned copy of your Photo ID, as well as a scanned copy of your credit card within 72 hours.

You can black out the middle 8 numbers using tape to protect your card.

I am very sorry for this security check and hope to process your order immediately.

Once you have provided me with this information, I can update your order to express shipping with no charge to you and you will hear from us soon on delivery.

Thanks,

Has anyone else experienced this? Seems like an attempt to harvest personal information to me. A pity, since I was pretty keen to order a suit from them.

you could always use paypal.

Holy crap. Do not comply with that- not worth it IMO.

I sent an email querying this request and got the following response. It was a reply, but it went to the info@indochino.com address that is all over their site.

Thank you for your reply.

I suppose I'll go with that and order the kit using PayPal, but this has definitely put me off buying a suit from them. I have read the odd complaint about their products, but haven't seen anything negative about Indochino's customer service. Strange.

Anyone have one of the Indochino Groupons for sale?

don't they just get their fabrics from Shanghai fabric market?

I believe so.

What an odd and dubious note from them. Although their marketing campaigns are attractive, indeed the complaints here are really quite alarming.

Just an update for anyone here thinking of buying a tie bar from Indochino.....don't. I think I'm one of the few here that actually had some decent pieces made by Indochino - I bought a few suits that turned out pretty decent, considering the price point. My last suit had a couple of minor alterations that needed to be fixed by my tailor, so I got refunded about $40 for the alterations credit. However, I couldn't just get the money back because I used a Groupon for the order, so they credited the money back to the Groupon. The only way for me to get anything for the money was to place another order, so I decided to get one of their tie bars.

This thing is absolute garbage - the whole thing is off balance and doesn't clip straight. I think I could have made a better one myself out of a safety pin. There's nothing else I really could have gotten with my credit - I don't need another Indochino suit - so I figured the tie bar was better than nothing. Turns out nothing would have been just as good.

That's too bad.  I have to say that I think their cufflinks look cheap too.

You guys are expecting high quality stuff from a place that offers as good as or better than suits from Zara, Mexx or places along those lines. I have a suit from Zara, now THAT was a mistake.

Agreed. IC won't be insanely high quality, but it will be better than the suits you get from fast fashion companies like Zara and H&M.

Well, I just ordered an Ultimate Gray Suit. Fingers crossed. Has anyone else noticed that some of the advanced customisation options have been removed?

Yeah, I have just written a blog post about it. The higher armholes became standard now, but some other options have been removed. I assume there will be a bigger change coming up. There have been some indications for something major in August/September.
