And yeah, I gotta admit, I do like their marketing and website... (Indochino's)

honestly if i was you, i'd just give it a shot.
20ish % off doesn't come more than twice a year.

and at most your risk is a bit of time and about 15$ in return shipping if you want a refund.

also, they are a lot more consistent now, better shoulder construction and more options than before.

biggest pluses for me we're the great fitting pants (I wear them all the time), crazy good customer service, free shirts (i recommend utility shirt and the blue herringbone) and unlimited remakes.

literally, unlimited remakes.

The fabric is nothing to brag about for sure. It's on the thin side as mentioned, but I'm not a fan of heavyweight suits myself. While it's nothing stellar, it's certainly not crappy wool either. As someone who bought quite a few shirts from H&M (actually don't like their jeans at all. Too much going on there. Guess is my choice for that), and tried on their suits, it's not a good comparison. H&M cuts certainly look desirable, but you're comparing 100% synthetic material to decent grade wool. While my experience with the suit I received has not been satisfactory, I'm very happy with their customer service and the remake option.

It's a matter of sacrifice with Indochino. You'll definitely get a superior suit, but if it isn't cut well, you will need to contact them back and forth and be patient with alterations/remake etc. H&M = quicker. Indochino = time consuming but undoubtedly better. I would advise going the Indochino route, especially with the current discount.

Update:
After visiting my doctor, I have determined that my problem was not caused by Bedbugs (thank God), and that Indochino was not at fault in any way.

You can see the edited original post, a couple pages back if you want.

it's not a comparison - H&M makes cheap and mostly synthetic suits. Indochino has proper wool fabrics and is made MTM - and all you need is enough time and some patience for remakes & alterations.

Is the redflag deal still going on? Also, from the website's pictures, the fabric on their suits looks very shiny. I need a somewhat conservative navy suit for interviews. Would the navy wool Indochino suit be too flashy?

I have the "basic" navy blue suit and it's not shiny at all - very appropriate for work, I believe.

Just pulled the trigger. I hope my suit and shirts turn out well. :/

Mine just shipped. I'm a bit worried that if it needs a remake I won't be able to get the same one.
It was the Mason Grey and now that's off the site.

if it's off the site, unfortunately it's probably gone.

they'll happily remake with any fabric you choose though.

Someone earlier asked about tuxedos...I received mine on Friday and it is currently at my tailor to have the cuffs finished (I ask for unhemmed). My first impression was that it is a decent tux, especially if your comparison point is a rental. My beef with a rental, besides the crappy fit, was that they always felt heavy and didn't move very well. The Indochino fabric is a little lighter. I ordered a one-button, peak lapel, with twin vents. I had asked (via email) for a +1" button stance, but that didn't make it into the jacket, and the button sits right at my belly button. Not a big deal because a classic tux typically has a deep gorge, but i was bummed that the adjustment wasn't made. On the plus side, this was my second order from Indochino, and I had made some measurement adjustments. It looks like all of my changes properly made it into the tux without any weird changes. It fits me well and I'm looking forward to wearing it.

I have never put on a more expensive tux, so I can't compare the fabric to what you'd buy in a high-end store. My tailor thought it was a pretty standard fabric.

On the negative, I used a coupon to include a shirt, and ordered one of their tux-specific shirts. It fits great, but has a slight pink hue. It's odd, when you look at it up close or at a small patch of fabric it looks like regular white, but from a few steps away, it is faintly discolored. Not sure what to make of that.

Oh, I asked for natural shoulders, and there is very little padding. It's fairly flimsy when you take off the coat. I'm thinking that wasn't the best choice for a formal jacket, but live and learn I guess. Has anyone else ordered a natural shoulder? What do you think about it?

Quick shot of the navy tweed suit. I prefer the 'natural shoulder' option. This suit has it.

I got my Navy Tweed y'day as well - it looks really good, very strong fabric - I got it with the golden buttonhole, think that adds a nice touch. I didn't dare going for the natural shoulders option, but even with the padded shoulders it looks good - I really like the look of linsook's shoulders though!

linsook, can I use your pics on my blog to illustrate the natural shoulders option?
