Hey I just bought a pair of 30 x 34" Nudie Average Joe Dry Heavy and I think they fit pretty well, though they are too long I believe.

A couple questions:

1. I was just wondering, since I'm not washing them for at least 6 months, should I get them hemmed, or do I wait until after I wash them to hem them shorter? I usually hem to 32", but also I like the look to be a little wrinkled by the shoes.

2. I think I bought the right waist size, they fit on pretty perfectly right now, but will they stretch much?

3. Does Dry mean Raw?

4. Stupid question I think but, how can I tell if they're Dry Indigo or Black Denim?

5. I bought them at a local store for $185 CDN (almost equivalent to USD), is that a decent price?

6. Do Nudie Average Joes 'run' a lot? After washing, will they not 'run'?

Thanks!

7. have you tried using the SEARCH button?

there is also a huge thread on superfuture.com with all this denim information in the initial post, if you are too lazy to search.

Actually yes, I have tried the Search function... being new and all I don't know the right terms to search or if Average Joes differ from other Nudies.

Superfuture is not apart of this site, so how would I know about it.

Some of my questions were specific to my situation.

I don't think there's a need to act like you do..

I even tried to sound cheerful in my OP. Thanks for the kind help man

He wasn't implying that you KNEW about it, he was actually being HELPFUL and telling you to go there.

As it were, it seems to be common consensus that nudies don't shrink in length much if at all, but i've yet to actually put any of mine through a wash to be certain.

Well if you normally hem to 32 I would hem to 33. The extra inch for the honeycomb process that eats up some length. You could tug them back to 33 after the wash if they shrink a little.

I've only had my AJDS for about a month now but my size 30 jeans fit me very well (I'm a true size 32). I have not seen any stretching (yet) in the waistband, which was quite a different experience than with my Grim Tims.

Pretty sure that the consensus is that they do shrink around 3%. My 30x32 lost an inch in inseam in their first wash; but it can be remedied somewhat by pulling on the legs while still damp.
