Hello,

I am looking for a good Tailor in Philadelphia. I have used Master Taylor & Cleaners on Spruce a few times with good results, but only for relatively simple tasks. I am looking for someone that will make a functioning cuff on a coat and some other more detail oriented stuff. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

note: Custom Tailoring By Gennady out in Bala Cynwyd does great work, but his hours are problematic and now that i don't drive to work, getting out there during normal business hours is impossible.

Thanks for the help!

I stand by Sew Rob in Wynnewood. He's done a few pretty high end pieces for me and have been impressed by his work. Not in downtown, but does have reasonable weekend hours.

Resurrecting this topic, since I always used Master Tailor on Spruce and apparently he recently left the business to his nephew. @PTVA , did you ever find anyone good in the city?

Looks like Sew Rob is still in Wynnewood, may have to check that out. Thanks, @usctrojans31

Hey @mattg1027 ,

I ended up going out to Sew Rob and was very pleased with their work. I have used them several more times for more complicated stuff with good results. Maybe it was just time of year, but the alterations took forever (3 weeks or a month). If you are going to use them, plan accordingly. For that reason, I have continued to use Master Tailor for the basic hem/dart tasks.

Sorry I could not be of more help!

Gotcha... have you been there in the past few months? I think I heard the older couple that used to run it left around February of this year? Any positive/negative experiences since then?

Thanks for the quick reply!

@mattg1027 , I moved to the west coast at the end of 2017, so unfortunately can't provide any insight post changeover.
