2016-17 College Football Season Threak - Page 8

Poor officiating encumbered Georgia, and poor coaching doomed it.

There were some flashes of brilliance - I continue to believe Eason is going to be exceptional - but Georgia completely gave away what was about to be a special game.

Still one hell of a finish.

Texas vs OU isn't being nationally broadcasted on Fox or ABC. Texas has really fallen off the map ever since the LHN launched. I hope Texas is enjoying all that extra money while losing and sinking into irrelevancy.

Weird because Charlie strong was supposed to be a 'lock' to be a great program builder

Huskies beat Oregon 70-21 last night, ending a 12 game winning streak by Oregon in the series. Man, that feels good. There is no love lost between UW and Oregon and I was sweating this game all week considering the last dozen years result and how painful another loss would have been, given the UW's recent success.

Oreogn has really been going downhill. Cant seem to recruit a QB for their life.

Congrats on the win. Petersen was a great hire for y'all.

The ESPN Hype Machine Wheel has apparently landed on Texas A&M as an up-and-coming national championship contender. The same Texas A&M team that was taken to double overtime by a Tennessee team that committed seven turnovers. decisions.gif

No one in the state of Georgia wants to play football this year.

Big 12 votes against expansion. The conference is a joke that Texas and OU are running into the ground. Grant of Rights expire in 2025 and I expect the conference to be dissolved then.

So the Big 12 is against having 12 teams...

My guess is they want to expand but can't decide which 2 schools to invite since a supermajority is needed (8 votes) for a school to be invited.

It's tricky- they have to be good enough to bring in revenue, but not good enough to threaten recruiting or Sooner/Longhorn hegemony. It's a shitty conference that deserves to die, that's for sure.
