i suspect we may have come to the point where we are developing discrete technological ethics. not from the standpoint of developers of technology (altho some of us may be that) but as human beings in a technological world.
"but technology has always existed and changed it's the hallmark of humanity!" true... but not at the present rate. i'm actually unsure if the rate of advance has actually slowed recently or if perception has simply acclimated to constant change.
whichever the case... early-adopters, luddites, lo-fi boys, "artisanals", what-have-you... i dunno. if you want me i'll be on the holodeck.
