Braces, waistcoat and nature calls question.

OK, now I know this may be a weird kind of post.... but it is a legitimate question of mine.

I have taken to wearing bracers again as I have been loosing weight lately and I find wearing a belt usually means my dress pants do not stay up on my waist correctly.

I had my dress pants taken in, yet as I am still loosing weight they are a bit loose around the waist and since my waist bands are pretty thick, cinching a belt up creates an uncomfortable fold in the waist.

So, I am wearing my braces again (and bought some new ones from Albert Thurston - super nice) but now I have an issue with getting my dress pants down when wanting to sit on the toilet.

My braces are on over my dress shirt/under my waistcoat so when I need to sit down, I find the only way to do this is take off my waistcoat, pull the brace straps down from each shoulder, but my waistcoat back on (since there is not a hook in the stall) .. do my business, then take off the waistcoat, pull the straps back up over my shoulders then put the waistcoat back on.

This is a bit involved for just basic calls of nature that involve sitting on the toilet... so I was wondering if any readers here have an idea on a more efficient way of doing this?

I have a feeling I will just need to deal with this every day when I need to sit on a toilet.

Thanks for reading this *interesting* question/post of mine.

Is the stall in question in work place? If it is, speak to management about putting in a hook.

Carefully fold the waistcoat and place it in your trousers.

Try to develop routine where you do your thing in your own home in the morning before you get dressed.

Hah, wish I could.

I get up at 4am, leave at 6 and nature does not call until around 10.

Yes, the stall is at work and the powers that be won't put in a hook since the stall in question is already unreasonably small (no room without someone putting an eye out -- there is only 1 "western" toilet per floor and they are all the same very small size)

Also, there is no way I am risking using the "traditional" Japanese toilet while in a suit... that would make for a horribly embarrassing day when an "accident/mess" eventually occurs.

I will try folding my waistcoat and placing it in my trousers and see how it goes.. but it may be just as fast (and safer) to put it back on unbuttoned during the deed.

Thanks

Sounds as good as it gets.

Maybe a "over the door hook" that you could carry with you? Maybe there are smaller, foldable/portable, more "discreet" type versions than this.

Personally, i keep my waistcoat on and unbutton the braces from the pants and just keee them over my shoulder. No accidents as of yet!
