Folks here convinced me to give them another try. They're off the market for now. Here goes nothing!

Oh what a shame, it's such a nice pair of shoes, in a unique color.

Have you tried thicker socks? What about heel liners to prevent slippage?

Even with thick socks, I was shifting around just enough in my left heel to be noticeable. Other aids like pads haven't treated me well over the years.

It's such a beautiful shoe, I'd rather have someone enjoy it fully and then get something that fits me better.

I've got a fairly average to slim foot and find the 12D (my usual size) seem to fit well with a mid-weight sock, although a half size down would still be wearable. These shoes could probably go either way depending on your feet and how you plan to wear them.

Are those made by C&J for RL?

You know, heel slippage is quite common with brand new shoes, and is perfectly acceptable if it is slight. Once the soles have the chance to flex and your foot sits properly in the sole, the slipping effect will most likely go away.

+1, esp with the double sole shoes like the Darlton. It took my Darlton about 5 wearing periods before it stopped slipping and i am a true 11.5 and got the 11.5D Darlton.

Regards.

Well y'all have made for a convincing argument. I'll give them another run and see what happens. Thanks to each of you for the input.
